Transformers: Generations Power of the Primes Leader Evolution Optimus Prime

Wow. Just - wow. Like the other comments, this is by far the best, most cleverly designed Prime I've ever seen. Transformation is extremely well executed. In Bot mode Optimus is both imposing and solid, and just looks great. The head sculpt is the best sculpt of Prime I've seen - Prime certainly means business! Transformation into Alt mode is well executed (except two side panels on the trailer section that can be a little fiddly). He's solid in alt-mode, too. Now - to the icing on the cake. Not only do you get the best Prime made by Hasbro... but you also get Orion Pax - Optimus, before he became Prime - that, kinda Gestalt-wise, becomes part of Prime when he's in bot mode AND then transforms into the truck in alt-mode! Just..... I have no words!! (well, besides the above) ;)A great toy - bought it for my son, who is now probably a bigger 'Bot fan than his dad! Am I jealous??? YES!! I have MP-01, but am secretly justifying buying this Bad Bot anyway....Forget the terrible Bayformers and their toys, Hasbro have made some really great toy designs recently - personal favourites are Generations Leader Class Jetfire (who is just awesome in both modes), POTP Rodimus and now - Optimus. Well done, Hasbro. Now stop making all these awesome figures because my bank balance can't take it!!!

The truck mode is not bad but the Orian Pax small robot mode is really good based on Orian Pax from the Transformers 1984 cartoon War Dawn episode I think it was. Really good nice big Optimus Prime figure the silver arm & leg panels remind me of power master Optimus Prime. Finally they did G1 Orian Pax & bonus it evolves into Optimus Prime nice big leader class figure

In my opinion this is the BEST looking prime I've seen so far INCLUDING the best looking orion pax toy. It's a two for one deal! Only complaint is the truck mode but definitely makes up for the robot modes

This is the best version of Orion Pax/Optimus Prime that I have ever owned.The only thing is the price - I was able to buy this exact version locally for under £50!

There have been a lot of figures of Optimus Prime produced in almost four decades, but it is quite hard to beat the original, especially with the partial metal truck cab.This figure based around ‘The Power of the Primes’ series is also certainly one of the best in terms of both its appearance and the novelty factor it incorporates.Taking inspiration from the original Generation 1 toy of Ultra Magnus, this figure possesses two robot modes; the cab transforming into a robot that can then also combine with a trailer to form a much larger figure.The larger figure is an excellent rendering of Optimus Prime that manages to capture aspects of the original toy and his appearance in both comics and animation. It is of a decent and impressive size with plenty of articulation and the transformation process is good and enjoyable. The chest cavity also opens to reveal a removable and, in keeping with ‘The Power of the Primes’, changeable Creation Matrix.In comparison the lorry mode probably suffers slightly as the emphasis is more on the robot mode. There are some uncovered areas of the trailer for example and the arms of the smaller robot form are visible in the way they fold up behind the cab.A huge bonus of this figure is that the truck cab doesn’t transform into a smaller Optimus Prime but instead into his earlier incarnation before he receives the Matrix, known as Orion Pax. This is a new rendering with its own distinctive look (not a re-colouring of any version of Kup).Overall, a great new version of a classic character.

Absolutely wonderful rendition of both Optimus Prime and Orion Pax. Makes for an excellent figure or display piece in robot mode.
