This crimper works well. With the price of buying pre-made cable, I ordered this to try and save money. I've only used it once so far, but it did the job perfectly. With all the different size dies that are included, it's not only a money saver, but a time saver too. My only complaint is that it is pretty heavy. Overall, happy with this crimper.

This Battery Powered Hydraulic Cable Crimper is a decent product that could easily be 5 stars but needs some work to get there. I’ll start with the positives. It’s a strong crimper that makes short work of heavy-duty cables. I like the fact that it comes with 2 batteries and really something like this should come with 2 batteries. The case is nice and comes with good stiff quality foam cutouts to keep everything secured when in transits. When a tool is close to $700 there should be some things in my opinion that are standard. I think the first thing is supporting your brand of tools by offering/selling consumables and accessories. For example, replacement batteries and AWG dies instead of just metric. It would not be a hard thing to do. The dies would not cost that much because most of the cost of this product is in the crimper itself, not in a metal die. It would make the tool much more diverse and reliable with additional batteries. Tools like this if you cannot find replacement batteries, if something happens then your expensive tool is just about worthless. Overall, I would give it 3.5 stars if I could.

This thing is a beast. I am going to relocate my truck battery and saw the price for cables that are premade. I then saw this crimper. I can make multiple cables myself and be lower cost then buying premade ones. I also can make any length I want, and change designs at anytime. You don’t want to be changing designs if you are buying premade cables.This set includes dies all the way past 2/0 size, so I have many choices on what amperage each cable will run for my project. I only need 2/0 as the largest size for my project. This set has many more sizes past the size I need. This tool is very well built and will not over crimp as the jaws will open automatically when it crimps so it doesn’t just sit there crushing until you let go of the trigger. That is a great feature.I highly recommend this crimper set. Being powered makes it so much easier then manually crimping a lug.

This battery charger cannot charge my batteries. What is the resolution to this issue?

Works great for crimping cables. It comes with a lot of sizes to fit any wire. Its a little heavy if you are going to be using it continously all day. It comes in great case and easy to put away,

This tool crimps like a beast. It makes short work of putting ends on large gauge wire. It uses a tool battery to run the hydraulics. They do the heavy lifting and makes life so much easier.
