Installation Steps

Step 1:The first step in installing an extended chimney roof bracket is to install the pipe straps. This is done by simply sliding the chimney pipe and securing it in place with the provided nuts and bolts.

Step 2: After installing the pipe straps, you need to assemble the legs. This 6DP-XRB Legs are in two halves. Slide the inner half into the outer half and secure one end of each leg to the pipe strap using the nuts and bolts provided.

Step 3: Once you've determined where the outriggers will be, you'll need to fasten the outriggers at the desired length. To secure the legs into the correct position; there is a hole in the outer leg where the two halves overlap. Secure this leg in place with the provided nuts and bolts.

Step 4: Referring to the marks you made when positioning the legs, install the two roof brackets where the legs meet the roof. Before fully tightening the brackets, seal the heads of the screws or nails with a non-hardening waterproof sealant.

Step 5: Attach the bottom end of the legs to the roof bracket using the nuts and bolts provided.

Step 6: Your extended chimney roof bracket installation is complete! We recommend checking the seal where the chimney draft collar meets the flashing. If you find any areas that need to be resealed, use silicone to reseal the area.
