Nice heavy duty spreader!
Great spreader for large yards if you have a wife that likes to walk that is!We purchased this after moving into our new much larger home & finding the old Scotts spreader wouldn't cut it in a large yard.Very well madeMine was missing a hand grip but after calling manufacturer they replaced it saving the need to return to Amazon.We have only used it for summertime lawn care so far but no clogs, nice wide spread.Tires will roll over most obstacles with ease.Heavy duty constructionEasy assembly

Very good, but not perfect
Solid build, good capacity, but clogs easily. The holes on the bottom of the hopper need to be about 1/2" larger in diameter. The regular rock salt used here clogs very easily and the auger pin is a bit short to really help clear the holes. I tried with both the screen in and screen out, still clogged. Simple solution was to use a step drill bit and widen the holes a bit. After that, no more issues. If you use smaller pellets like the calcium chloride you wont have any issues.

Does not spread ice melt easily. Tried with the pin in and the pin out. Keeps getting clogged. Would not buy again

Save Your Money - This is Trash!
Absolute piece of garbage.This thing won't spread anything. Rock salt, ice melt, you name it - Nothing spreads. Tried inserting the agitator pin. Nothing. Tried it without the agitator pin again. Nothing.It's a piece of Chinese-manufactured trash that doesn't work. There's a reason why this model is much less expensive than, say, a Meyers unit. Simply: The Meyers will work, this will not.

Best Salt spreader and customer service we've used.
As a commercial snow/ice mgmt company we were amazed at the performance of these units when salting walks with the guard or large areas without the guard. We have several and it is actually easier than using our powered units on the back of the salt trucks as far as proper coverage. We find that we also communicate more with shopping patrons when boots on the ground, providing a better representation of our company. Precision products has great customer service covering parts if needed.We will be buying from this company as our first choice. Highly recommended.

Assembly is straight forward - unfortunately one of the main handle/supports had to be bent so that unit would sit on both legs when not in use. Not worth the time to request a replacement.

Not Recommended for Winter for Driveway
My principal purpose was to purchase a spreader for ice melt on my long driveway. I’m disappointed. Maybe I’ll have better luck on my lawn this Spring.

Not as good as I thought it should be
Not as good as I thought it should be. Very slow dropping salt. Seems as the holes in the bottom are now large enough for the rock salt. They are about as large as a nickel. Gets clogged often. Would not buy another one
