I use these on my chicken coop, the locks work just fine to keep accidental opening and having chickens eat my garden. You cannot use them to climb Everest or to secure a Walgreens in the city, but to keep a door latched it does just what was intended.

We couldn't use just hooks because our horses would undo them, these work great

Really like these latches on my bunny hutch and chicken coop. They have a little spring keeper that makes it so it cant be bumped off. Part of the problem with it being so secure (which I really like) is that it is a little difficult with arthritic hands to pull the little spring back. My 9 year old grandson has no problem with it, its just dexterity and strength problem of being old.

Spring used is too stiff, it's almost impossible to open these by hand. They are going back.

Would give zero stars if I could. These shear off as you screw them in, see my pictures. Poor manufacturing quality. Please do not use these if you need them for any security applications (like a pool fence)!
