While the book is dated, it is a classic. The author invents a personality that reinforces the fact that businesses succeed or fail based on the small things - answering the phone, marshaling resources, and keeping your ego in check. Since this is all done in a humorous light, it makes for a fun read that stays with you well after the book is finished. I've gifted this book numerous times and somewhere in my files I have an original xerox that was my introduction to the book.

Not the sort of book I would read cover to cover, in one go. But whimsical and interesting to dip in and out of.I gained three useful insights into how to run a successful business:1. Watch your expenses.2. Lower your expenses.3. Cut your expenses.
