Q: what is the chimney diameter this fits?

No idea ours fits an Anevay Frontier stove.

Q: Bought this and used it for a few days. First time used it leaked from the seam at the back. Any ideas, can it be soldered?

Are you sure it’s got a leak? Same thing happened to us but after further investigation we realised it was a tap joint that was leaking and we tightened they. It looked like a leak but the water was running down and underneath so looked like it was coming out of the seam. Try it, ours has been fine ever since.

I don't understand what you mean by 'will not fit' do you mean that the stove flu is too big a diameter for the water heater to fit around and clip in place? If so then the water heater and stove are incomparable and you should probably return. I have the 3ltr heater and a frontier stove. The heater clips on to the flu very well. I swivel the heater so the base is on the stove to heat the water but once heated i swivel it partially off of the stove plate and let the contact with the flu and the edge of the stove keep the water hot so i have a larger surface on the stove to cook on.

Q: Will it fit on a 3" flue?

The clip might not go around the flu
