I've had disc brakes for over 12 years, replaced pads and rotors many times. I installed these, with clean rotors, and did the correct break in. They kind of worked in my driveway, so I took the bike out and figured they would get better with a good ride to break them in.Scariest ride of my life. I ride some pretty technical and steep trails, where stopping is kind of important. I could never get the rear wheel to lock up. My hands were so tired from squeezing the levers during the ride, I could barely hang on. Finally, at a particularly hairy spot, I squeezed so hard trying to stop the rear brake broke altogether.These might be okay for running around paved bike trails, but if you're riding on actual mountains, don't bother.Amazon as usual was great. I got my refund back from them soon after returning them.

used this on an electric wheel chair project for school. this is excellent and does not need precision engineering. my brake plate warped when i welded it on to a rim but even wobbly the brake was able to "ride the wave" it has some play and can move side to side about 3/8 of an inch!!eberything was well made and held up to a lot of abuse for my purposes.

Buy these brakes. The whole set costs less than a single Avid caliper, and they appear to be identical to the BB-5 model, with the exception of the inner pad adjustment. A 5mm Allen wrench is required on these, since they don't have the plastic thumb wheel. Braking performance is also on par with the more expensive brand. I have ordered a second pair, due to my high satisfaction with the first set I bought.

these only lasted a total of 5 days on my bike. BEWARE!!! Then they broke next day. They just click when you engage them. Biggest GARBAGE going!!! Save your money. Get a hydraulic brake for $20-$30 more. You won't be disappointed. Buy these and you'll look for your money back as I was going to. But so they don't refurbish them, I deliberately broke the pieces of S***!! No other way to describe it.

Missing the rotors.

This is a great deal a little tricky to install works better than original and still have another set!

I wanted to wait a while before reviwing this item as it is a safety critical feature.I thought that it was a main brand as it look like the original Tektro Novela kit, even part of the grahic reminds of it. But it is not.However I was not displeased. Fitting is ok, and performance is ok after 3 months of commutes and 2 loaded bike tours in very bad rain, off road dirt and salted winter roads.It is possibly same item badge different, who knows, but I am quite confident of quality and performance. Thumbs up.

Looks good, fits easy, is incredibly cheap in price.I have read a comment about the stopping power being terrible, I have not experienced that at all, I don't have to strain at all to even have the wheels lock. I've ridden this in the rain and it made no difference to the brakes performance. Great quality and highly recommended!!!

Cheap and quality isn't great. Won't buy again.

Good value for money. Quick delivery. Happy customer. Only one point I would say is that the brake cable isn't very long. Had to use the back cable for the front and buy another cable. Good for the money

The cables are simply-disappointedly SHORT...all other parts are quite acceptable...!!! (my bike is 19)
