Robust & minimalist, recommended
I simply love it, the phone is simple, robust, elegant, easy to use and fulfil all basic needs which is why I got it. The audio quality is very good, the phone and all its functionalities such as the notes, calculator and Bluetooth works as expected. Can’t wait to use it more and do some detox time away from the smartphones.

Could have been good
This promised so much that I wanted as a private, minimalist phone. It looks good and is lovely and small and has an excellent display. However there are few things that mean I would not buy it again. First is the battery life. I rarely get a full day's use out of it despite being a very light user: two or three phone calls a day, a couple of dozen text message and none, or very little use of the WiFi tethering. I find the buttons can be unpredictable in some situations, particularly when unlocking it; I get missed clicks and double clicks far more often than on previous phones with real buttons. The Pigeon app for Signal is a disaster. I have twice had to do complete wipes, resets and reinstalls because it lost access to my account for no apparent reason.I would have liked to like this phone and initially thought a few interface tweaks would make it great (better display of notifications when locked for example). However the longer I have used it (six months now) the more frustrated I have become and would not recommend it in its current state. I am only hanging on to mine in a desperate attempt to get some value for the high cost of purchase.

Unable to enter a wifi username & poor tethering speeds
I really liked the phone's simplicity and I got this as it comes with Pigeon/Signal - which seemed like a perfect dumbphone but also having the capacity to call & message abroad over internet without additional costs. The OS is rather intuitive but I have used the old feature phones before, writing etc works as expected, the phone is surprisingly small and lightweight. However, there is absolutely no way to enter a wifi username or any other details apart from the wifi password, which rendered this phone completely unusable to me. Being in London the mobile data coverage & connectivity is often rather poor, and I'm relying on the wifis I'm using - all of which have a username. Also, testing the 4G internet tethering speeds gave an average download speed of 2.35 Mb/s and upload speed of 0.32 Mb/s in a location where a Google Pixel set to 4G network gave an average download speed of 19.13 Mb/s and upload speed of 5.43 Mb/s. Thus, the advertised internet tethering function is practically useless - even in places where the mobile connectivity is sufficient.

Better than expected, after reading some of the reviews
Having first tried the nokia 110 and nokia 225, both of which were returned as being worse than useless, I finally bit the bullet and tried this Punkt phone. It would have been my first choice, but for the price and the poor reviews.Unlike all the other modern dumb phones I have tried, this does not feel like a step backwards from the technology perspective. The User Interface is intuitive and easy, it feels as though it is well made (fingers crossed there) and, as much as these things can be, it is pleasant to use.Battery life is not great, 2 to 3 days, and the battery is not replaceable. But it is of a par with the two useless pieces of rubbish mentioned above. If vodafone honour their promise to beef up the 4G signal (fat chance!) then the battery will last longer. The Contacts management is not great, [First Name, Surname] or [Surname, First Name], but I know it can be OK, having bought one for my partner and on her phone the contacts display correctly as [First Name Surname]. So perhaps, with some messing about and if I re RTFM I will be able to sort that out. After connecting to the WiFi, (press the # key immediately after selecting the letter for uppercase), software updates can be downloaded and also you can personalise the phone and add the pigeon app. The latter may be of limited use and I have uninstalled it.Not tried tethering yet but imagine it will work OK and drain the battery faster (of course)Not tried the bluetooth yet but, again, this should be standard stuff, though it will drain the battery if left on all the time.Overall, if you want a phone that does text messages and allows you to tether for internet access via mobile contract data, this seems to be a good device. It will not do any apps and will not drive you to distraction like other dumb phones. This one seems to have been designed for ease of use, as a phone that also does text messages.

Fantastic!!
I'm so over the moon with this phone from Punkt! I'd read a lot about it online after a friend mentioned it to me, but I was keen to see if it really stacked up in real life. It arrived today and I'm so impressed with the quality and design of it. Firstly, it looks beautiful, the minimalist, paired-down design is exactly why I wanted one in the first place and it doesn't disappoint - it has that mid-Century classic feel to it. The materials are first-class, great texture but also feels very durable but has that lightweight feel. It powered up right out of the box which is nice - I managed to set it up very quickly.Aside from the way it looks, I wanted a phone that would allow me to take a break from the many other distractions of my 'smart' phone. This product strips away all the unnecessary stuff to the few simple functions you need, perfect for achieving an enjoyable level of 'digital balance'. I will likely use it as a companion to my smartphone but I can also see how it would be just as able to be a standalone device.

Dissapointing
Don’t buy. Terrible operating system, poor battery life, dim screen, spongy buttons, unintuitive and expensive to boot. I wasted my money on this and should have bought a nokia.
