Zogarth continue to churn out great stories.
The Primal Hunter 7 by Zogarth continues the excellent series as readers have come to expect. With Jake attending the Academy with Reika, going to the second World Congress, going on a personal journey with Carmen and Sylphie, another system event with a trip down memory lane, and then back to the Academy to find himself in another dungeon, the seventh installment was jam-packed with interesting characters, intriguing story beats, world-building that never seems to stop expanding, and humor sprinkled in to liven things up. Jake continues his path towards system immortality while enjoying the journey. It is an enthralling book that easily earns 5 out of 5 stars.

Great Read
This review is not going to be comprehensive or insightful. There are many other reviews that point out the good and not so good of this installment and the series. But, as a reader who enjoys the series for what it is I simply want to give my support to the author who has produced a superb product in a growing genre. Zogarth may not be as technically proficient as classically educated writers, but more than makes up for it with good storytelling and characters. The latter are well developed and relatable, with a varied cast that bring meaningful depth to the story.

A ton of action, an odd system event, and vampires!
In book 7 Jake does just what Jake wants. It's what he's always done. There are too many plot points to capture in a short review so I won't even try. What I liked most about book seven is that it focuses on one of Jake's shortcomings. How the author goes about this is odd and somewhat unsatisfying (why not just get a trainer at the Malefic Academy), but there you go. The city of Paradise was also enjoyable mostly because Jake teamed up with someone else. I know it was to prove a point that shows up again later on, but it was nice to see.The system event is very blah IMO, especially compared to earlier ones. Hardly anyone takes another path, and besides the person who is chosen by Yip of Yore, who cares? There is absolutely no city building in this book as Jake never makes it to Haven at all.I'll stop my semi-recap there. The editing is fair and the stats are ever present. I think Jake relies on the Malefic One a bit too often, but that's me. If he's so independent why not just try and figure things out himself? There is a ton of action as always.I enjoyed this book more than book six, so that's good. I will absolutely read book eight when it comes out, but I'm also wondering what the end game is. We're seven books in and I still have no idea. At some point the series needs to end. 5/5* recommended.

Hunter got laid
Nice reading. Easy to follow the action. Attractive adventures. Some romance and a friendship development. Although the hero was to naive, finally got laid.

One of My Top 5 Series
I have truly enjoyed the 7 books in the series but I feel like this book Jake and the other main characters have really come into their own. I can’t wait to dive into number 8.

So GOOD! love this series! always something different!
I have found that many of these lit rpgs, while good and entertaining, are nothing more than the same "plug n play conflict" with a last minute power up or self revelation that gives the mc a significant boost to win the day. While that is somewhat true w/ this story, there is always enough new and unexpected events to keep it fresh. As someone who has read almost every lit rpg out there i can honestly say this is one of the best. Followed by of course, System Universe (good ol Derek), Defiance of the Falls, Eight, and ROAD TO MASTERY (yeah its quickly becomming one of my absolute faves as well).

Zogarth is a punny guy
Some real groaners, but it’s all good fun. Plot takes twists and turns which always makes things interesting. Two more words Amazon? Really?

Erg leuk!
Ik verbaas me over hoe goed het de auteur lukt om het verhaal interessant en entertaining te houden, zelfs bij het zevende deel van de serie. Direct door naar de volgende!

Little off reading but still good
I dont know what to expect in the future books but honestly found some chapters unnecessary and long-winded. Always said this book was easy to follow but the unnecessary details seem well, unnecessary. Myriad choices chapters seem like author is running out of characters and just building on old ones. But guess we stuck with that character now. Writing can be fun at times, but very briefly and I wish to see better built characters without too much unnecessary system knowledge.

in for a penny, in for a pound
Seventh book is on par with the six before it. If you like jake’s adventures, you won’t be disappointed. If not, read something else.
