Easy to use and of good quality, yet light weight. The lid edges seal nicely with the included grommet and the screw down glands can be tightened with a spanner without stripping the thread to give a good watertight seal for cables. To external mounting holes allow the box to be fixed solidly.

Nice quality plastic. Lid fits perfectly and appears to seal properly. Enough room inside for a Sonoff if anybody is wondering.It uses the ‘one size fits all’ grommets rather than a set of various sizes, which is fine. It tightens up on standard 3 core flex nicely but wouldn’t go any smaller.Only reason I’m knocking off one star is that there is no way of sealing any unused ports. I bought this to fit a security light with the thought that I might ‘one day’ connect something else into it. But until then the unused port is a potential water ingress point. It would probably come with at least one ‘bung’ of some sort. For now I’ve put an inch of spare flex in it which works but isn’t the most tidy finish to the job.

I admit the seal does look a little thin but it does appear to fill the gap between the box and the lid but not had a chance to use it as yet. No knockout but that suits me as often I have found the pre drilled holes can leak when exposed to the elements etc. The wall thickness is pretty good, so all in all for the price very good.

I'm sure they are IP rated when they are not opened to connect cables. The hinge is plastic and it is screwed shut on only one side. I found when I opened the hinge on one it started to break off making sealing impossible. You get what you pay for. They flex and go out of shape easily too. Only use on a flat surface.

Awesome boxes, i bought a load of those boxes allready for all kind of projects. They are fairly tight so i actually use one as a waterpump housing, and in order to avoid leakes damaging anything they have a slight overpressure (little membrane air pump) so if there is water leaking it will drain out the drainhole.... very good quality i think especially if you consider the extremly low price.

Disseny agradable. Si cal posar algun interruptor o mecanisme a la tapa, va molt bé que disposi de frontisses, així al obrir-la no pengen tots els cables que van a la tapa.El plàstic no es trenca al foradar o ranurar. El cargols son encastats i no sobresurten de la tapa.
