This thing is awesome. No seriously. I have 2 functioning wood-burning fireplaces. We typically don't use one at all, and the other is used occassionaly. I popped this into the one that rarely gets used. As it's all black, it's difficult to see in the fireplace box, which, is perfect. You plug it in. It lights up pretty cool. It puts out a pretty impressive random set of colors, projected inside the firebox to look like an actual fire. It has 3 settings basically dimming the log brightness down to a simmer, which is very cool in the dark. Then, you can turn the heat function on. It's a hotbar on the front of the unit that puts out heat. It is a bit noisy when this heater is running, but not obscenely. It heats a small room up pretty quick so I turn it off after like 10 minutes. No stupid LEDS, or music, whatever, but it has a remote which is helpful. Recommended.

This works very well, put Sally a decent amount of heat and looks pretty. I love that it has a timer and it fit in my fireplace perfect.!

I love this product! I love the way it throws out heat and I especially love the way it looks. I do not find that it is noisy, just a bit of a hum. My only concern is that NO WHERE in the advertisement does it say that you can not use a heavy duty extension cord with this heater. I ordered a new heavy duty extension cord because I knew the cord would not be long enough to reach any of my outlets. The first I read anything about this was when I was reading the warranty that comes with the heater and it said you absolutely can not plug it into anything but the wall outlet. I called customer support and was told that if I use a 15 amp, 1800 wattage extension cord I can probably use it but only for short time periods. They said they do not stand behind it and do not recommend using them. I never read any of these reviews that said that was a problem so I assume everyone else can reach the 6 ft cord to an outlet which also must be on the left of the heater if you are facing, it because that is where the cord is located. I am now debating if I should return the heater or try to use an extension cord and hope it is ok!! After having the heater about a week, I decided to use the extension cord because according to the specifications....it had more than enough Amp and wattage and so on to handle this heater. I had it on for 4 hours one afternoon and decided to feel the plug to see if it was hot! To my dismay......it was very hot and the plug was beginning to discolor!!! I will be calling an electrician to see what can be done and how much it will cost to do it. Maybe there is such a thing as an even heavier appl. extension???? I am writing all of this to inform a future buyer that this is something you need to check out before purchasing. But, maybe you are smarter and more aware than I was!!

I am very satisfied with this product. It looks great in my fireplace! Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine my fireplace would look this great with electric logs! These are so much better than real fire logs or gas logs. You have multiple settings for the flame height and flame colors. There is a setting for fire crackling noise or can select silent. These logs can also be used for heating, multiple settings and time settings. Great value for the money, great price and easy installation.

Wanted fire I could look at with or without heat. These logs are amazing. Not only light weight and easy to install the fire give the feel of a real fire. I have had several people complement how nice they look. When running the heater it is more like white noise and doesn’t bother you while watching tv or talking. It heats up my living room with vaulted ceiling very quickly.

Heater is soo much better than I expected! I primarily bought it for the aesthetic for the holidays and now it is a permanent feature in my living room because it looks great and works!!!

This review is for the Turbro EF23-PB fireplace logs. This is a very good product and I believe a good value if you have realistic expectations. This is not going to look exactly like burning logs and it is not going to heat your home. I bought this for my living room fireplace. My living room is very large. I didn't buy this with the expectation that it would heat my living room, I just wanted it to provide some supplemental heat and that is what it does. My dogs sleep in front of the fireplace and they love the extra warmth. If you stare directly at it, it is not going to fool anyone but in the background it provides a very nice ambiance and gives you the impression that there is a fire going. And it does this at a very reasonable price. I am very happy with my purchase. When the logs arrived the remote didn't work. I contracted Turbro support. The responded the next day. The asked me to try a couple things and it still didn't work. They requested some additional information and said that they would ship a new remote but they they were on back order and it would take 1 to 2 weeks. Three weeks later the new remote was delivered (shipping took a week as it was coming from China). The new remote works fine. All responses from support were within a day and I was notified with shipping information. I would have preferred that everything work right out of the box but since it didn't I am very satisficed with the support I received.

Love it. Very comforting in my living room. The heat portion not so much. Twice it has shutdown then I’ve had to unplug it, let it sit for about 20 minutes then plug it back to restart it. The remote control for the heat gets confused. So I don’t use the heater much. Still love the look of it.

I debated between a new glassed insert or this version and WE love this version. it lights up beautifully. Gives off consistent heat, timers work great and it has a crackling sound. If I could change anything I would make the crackling a bit clearer sound wise. Overall i am very happy to have made this purchase.

Overall great product. Not super realistic looking but it heats well and the fan is quiet. The sound doesn't interfere while the t.v. is on just above it. Good product for the money.
