Guards Against Insanity Obscenity: Hilarious Party Card Game can be Played as a Fun Drinking Game

I got this for a friend for his birthday, and it wasn’t actually a bad game. We enjoyed it but it wasn’t a pass and move on kind of card game. We found ourselves in some very drawn out cool conversations based off things mentioned on the cards. All in all it was very enjoyable. It just wasn’t a fast paced game, at least for us.

Not exactly what I expected. At first I didn’t think the words we needed to guess were very obscene, then we decided to look them up on the Urban Dictionary. Seems like they just used the urban dictionary to come up with the words you had to guess.

Really liked this game. Was alot laughs with a large group of people. Would recommend this game to anyone who is open minded and just looking for alot of laughs.

Too vulgar so nasty we had to look things up and it was just gross, however we did have a few laughs got a little education on the. Would recommend a younger crowd for this particular game. Smiling😁

It’s a word that means offensive or disgusting... Or fun.Guess the phrase on the card. Sounds like a simple clean game. Nope.This is good dirty fun. At first, I thought that a good knowledge of Urban Dictionary would be needed, but, while that might be helpful, much of the fun in the game comes from incorrect guesses.The game is easy to learn & play. One person picks a card and then comes up with hints about one of the three phrases on it while the other tried to guess as many phrases as they can in one minute. Each card has three words or phrases, with the first being the simplest and the third being the hardest to guess, and they are scored respectively. Some are pretty easy to figure out while others are really obscure, and sure to cause some people to look up to see what they are. With over 300 cards, there’s more than enough phrases to keep the game fresh for quite a while.As I mentioned, a lot of the fun is in the wrong guesses that come up. These can be even more creative than some of the actual phrases.The cards are fairly thick and sturdy, with a laminated plastic coating that should hold up well against slight spills. On the front of each are three phrases, with the number of points each is worth. The backs have the game logo. That’s it, and all you need. There’s also a 1 minute hourglass timer included. Instructions are simple, and on a small folded sheet, so you can dive right into the game within a minute or so. The box is a rigid two-piece and small enough to be easily transported. All you need is paper and pencil to keep score.

Backed this on KickStarter, and I am extremely happy for that.Was looking for a game to expand my friends and my gaming portfolio that would be a good game to play during certain social events that involve alcohol and friends. We love playing the normal CAH and similar games, and wanted something new but just as interesting. Thinking adult version of the fill-in-the-blank kids books (you know the game).We found it. This game is fun, fast to learn, and so far very good replay value. Break into teams (2 of them) then use the cards as a draw pile. Simply pick a reader / actor to start from the starting team. Said person using words or actions to try and get their team to guess the obscenity. Sit back and watch the fun, and be prepared to laugh.Unlike some games where you just read a phrase and add some colorful phrases / words to make it funny, take similar phrases and words and watch people try to use actions and other phrases to get their team to guess them. I still, to this day, see my 350lbs 6'7" friend trying to act out Pole Dancer, or the way my mother-in-law (who is not up on pop-culture) was trying to get my team to say 'Netflix and chill".Great memories and great times. I highly recommend this game.

A brilliant game if you and your friends have a dark and rude sense of humour but also love word play/charades style games. Well packaged and delivered earlier than expected! Highly recommend!

Ordered this thinking it was the guards against insanity game, but when it arrived it was different. This game has 3 words per card and You have to provide clues for the opponent to guess the word.I love guards against insanity but this was too challenging and my mind is obviously not filthy enough.

Great quality and instructions were clear. Many of the cards were not common phrases so we often would put cards back and re-draw. Fun for adults.
