You have to try this product.
This stuff is great. I can leave my plants...potted and in the ground and for a week in the Texas summer heat without worrying about them. I water half as often. Plants that I had trouble keeping alive in the Texas heat are thriving. Great for house plants too. I tend to neglect mine and with these crystals they stay hydrated without drowning. A must for pot plants.

Well named product! 1 tsp of crystals swelled to 2 cups
I did a little experiment... not very scientifically because I didn't attempt to get precise measurements. But I took about a little over a teaspoon of these Water Storing Crystal's and added some water with dye (to enhance the visual). I kept having to add more water, and more water. What started out as a little over a teaspoon filled up a large soup bowl, or around 2 cups. So... this product will be great as an additive in my potted plants and in some flower beds where I have plants that tend to dry out more quickly. This will provide them the moisture they need to thrive. Or just to keep them watered if I happen to be out of town for several days. The product was delivered promptly and was sold at a good price, even a great price considering how much I paid for a tiny packet a few years ago.

Good for plants.
Well worth its weight. I add a sprinkle each time I repot or pot a plant. A little does a long way. Experiment in a bowl first if you need to see for yourself. (

Convenient for the home gardener
We live in a very dry environment where summer temps exceed 100* and there is usually a 15 - 20 kts south breeze every day. Potted plants dry out quickly and need constant watering. Mixed these pellets into the soil before we planted this year and they seem to be helping hold the water. We don't have nearly the volume of water running out the bottom of the pot each time we water. Plants seem to be doing better this spring so far. 5 lb size is more than enough and should last us for several seasons.

Never plant without this!
Works very well in dry climates. Very necessary for starting all sizes of plants.

Water storage crystals
Received the crystals I was surprised how fast the the crystal transformed into a jel like substance had formed once water was applied. It took less than one minute for the surgar like crystal transformed into a jell-O like substance came into existence. Also, note worthy was the more water applied the larger n the jello like substance grew. New plants were installed & later died because there was no sprinkler system or frequent watering to hydrate new plants we turn to these water storage crystal in the mean time , until a sprinkler installed . Quite a bit of money was invested in the plants for an event, and we felt that the crystals would have been survive until a consistent watering supply was installed. I’ll keep you posted to verify the success of the crystals.

Definitely absorbent
I ordered to add to all my potted plants which dry out quickly in the Az heat. I found adding the product to already potted plants to be challenging. Difficult to distribute without sticking together. Doesn’t mix well in this case. But the grains do hold moisture. Recommend you remove the plant and mix into potting soil first.
