A unique NDE account that's shared in an exceptional manner
In Chad Daybell's 5th book in his "Standing in Holy Places" series, he highly recommends that his readers read this book, as it was influential in how he wrote his series. He even provides the first chapter of this book, at the end of his (with permission of Suzanne Freeman, of course). For a myriad of reasons, I tend to be VERY wary of NDE stories, and on guard, as some of them come across so flaky, off kilter, irreverent or sometimes even contain bits of information that I KNOW is false. (Perhaps not as a result of the author wanting to deceive, but perhaps they aren't remembering it accurately after the fact.) So I confess that I was bracing to be disappointed by this book, but I'm happy to say that that moment never came.Freeman shares her story beautifully and with all the respect, reverence, and humility that one would expect a person to have if they had truly had such a magnificent experience with the Savior on the other side of the veil.Regardless of which Christian faith you subscribe to, if you are Christian then I believe you will love and appreciate this account of Freeman's near-death experience. It's unique not only in the tone in which it's told, but in the extent to which the Savior was personally involved and present in her experience. I've already read it twice and each time the Spirit bore witness to me of the truths shared in her account, and also gave me peace of mind, inspiration, admonition, and also tugged at my heart strings and brought tears. While Freeman makes no attempt to replace any scriptural doctrine, her experience reinforces the truths that we're taught in the scriptures AND gives color and more depth so that that which may be difficult to understand in the scriptures has a more realistic, relatable application in our lives today. I'm better off for having read it and hope to be a better person for it as well.

Through The Window Of Life
This book is a continuation of the first, "Led By The Hand Of Christ". She mentions the white room briefly where this story begins. The first book is about heavenly wonders and people there. "Windows" brings us back into mortality with a vision of future events now at our doorstep.Written like a novel, this book captivated me even more than the first. The similarities between her experiences and ones I have read for years was uncanny. There's simply too much truth to discount. My 3rd Great Grandmother had a dream in the 1830s describing a destroying angel nearly identical to Suzanne's. If this is fiction then I'll be fooled! How powerful are words which can inspire, and prepare one for calamities predicted for decades. Store up provisions, share what you have, do not become attached to possessions... these are themes which will make you a better person and could save lives as well.I loved the part of the return of the Ten Tribes with there protecting influence and technology. Also everyone that loves God and thirsts for peace are allowed into this new city - irregardless of religious belief.Anyone who reads this book will seriously consider whats written. There is valuable information whether you believe it or not. God is no respecter of persons. This book is a keeper. Read and enjoy.

Something to Consider
This is not your typical near death story. The author has another book - Led By The Hand Of Christ - that tells her initial experience. This follow up book is what Christ showed her. The book is nothing like I've ever read, giving one pause to think of what can happen to our society if we don't become a kinder people. I've read others who share their near death experience and portray a not so pleasant future but this provides more details. I would add as she told the story, I could go to the book of Revelation in the Bible and find much of what she describes in that book, only this would be in modern day understanding as John did not live in a time when there was our modern day conveniences and he had to write that book using his day's frame of reference. This was a quick read. I circulated it through all my married kids and they found it of value to read and ponder. Thumbs up on this book.

Something to think about
At first I was really turned off by the apparently fictitious places (Pleasant View,Crooked Creek ) And the unbelievable story of the neighbor woman ,who just begged Suzanne to go with her to find her parents, when she had her husband who was all ready going with her.And how on that trip Suzanne got there just in time to pull a live baby from the flood of more than one day before, with several other bodies .Why were all the dead still upstream after the dam broke, wouldn't all the bodies have been washed far down stream ? I guess all the stories were metaphorical .I did like the rest of the book.Suzanne must have seen something, for she gives ideas that have not occurred to me and she gives good counsel .An interesting possible scenario of how it might be.

Read these books. They are credible, but more gently written. While there is nothing different, really, than other NDE books, there is more hope and joy emphasized than in other NDE books I've read of late, even though these are older books. Suzanne's style may not be for everyone, but for me I appreciated her writing. Everyone has to decide for themselves, and the critics of these books seem to discount the fact that this was Suzanne's experience, not theirs. How can you argue with someone's experience? It doesn't make sense. Thank you, Suzanne, for being willing to share your experience. I would imagine you have had a lot of opposition and naysayers, such as those critics found here. Your book helped me a lot, and I appreciate it.

Fascinating, not too long of a read, but lots of stuff to think about
This book is full of details of what it might be like the last few years in preparing for the Lord's second coming. It comes from a near death experience, through the eyes of a devote Christian. The writing is clear and elegant, often citing scriptures in analysis of each point. The story is good in a first person narrative, pov of mother and wife living through the difficult but glorious days before the Savior comes again.

This book was hard to put down and gave a sense of perspective that only comes when you hope or believe there is life beyond this mortal journey.
