Natural Hair Colour and Conditioner, Bright Red, 4 oz (113g)

I’ve tried many henna hair dyes over the years and this is the easiest to use in my opinion - it doesn’t need to “cure”, nor to be mixed in a bain-marie etc. Your skin will get more stained than perhaps using lush henna, but that shouldn’t be an issue if you use a barrier cream and because far less mess is made with this preparation. I’d recommend using a good hair dye brush (the little square ones to paste on the henna) - ideally one with a longer end you can use to separate the hair as you go along. This formula also hasn’t dyed my towels / pillowcases, however I am not sure this would always be the case (this has been an intermittent issue with most henna and I use my “hair dye pillowcases” for a week after dying my hair just in case - a common practice I’m sure)! I’m definitely going to use this again.

I've used two other brands, both good quality and quite expensive; this one is better. The product is ground smoother, so it goes on as a paste, does not drip, and does not make a mess in the bathroom. Instructions recommend keeping it on for 4 hours max, which is less than with other brands. The product is easy to remove, less time than other brands. The color is beautiful, vibrant, and the hair looks glossy. I won't say it's becoming my go-to, because I like experimenting with color, but I will certainly buy again. Amazon delivered in less than 2 days, amazing as always.

I love this product! I have medium brown hair but have a few white hairs peeping out. This gives a nice reddish tint to the brown and covers the whites really well so it looks like I have nice red highlights. It also leaves my hair feeling so soft and healthy! So much better than chemical dyes! It's a bit of a process and the smell isn't great, but I tried mixing it with coffee instead of water and adding a bit of cinnamon and that helps with the smell and gives it a nice rich color. Overall would recommend as a great alternative to box dye.

Amazing colour. I have naturally chestnut ginger hair and I wanted a boost of colour, this surpassed my expectation.All henna is messy no matter what brand you get. However, as this is finely ground it was far less messy, less clumpy, less gritty, easier to mix and apply, easier to wash out and far less clean up than other brand I used before (A high street store that sells lovely bath bombs but their henna was not so good from my experience).The colour is far more intense than the previous brand I used.I recommend using a barrier cream around your hair line as it does stain skin. I followed the instructions - hot water, not boiling- using a glass bowl and plastic fork to mix, applied to clean hair and let sit for about 2 hours, then rinsed.My hair is now ‘Merida from Disney’s Brave’ deep copper red! I love it. My hair looks shinier than it did before. Took a chance on this and so glad I did!

This dye is great. My natural hair colour is ginger and I wanted to go a bit darker and a bit more vibrant without being too fake a red. This has done that wonderfully. Its very messy compared to your regular chemical dyes but with a bit of preparation (lots of bin bags, old sheets, old t-shirts etc to protect floors ,sinks, skin, cats, small children etc) its absolutely fine. I did get some on my skin which went bright orange but it faded pretty quick apart from one stubborn bit on my palm. So yeah, it does stain so be careful. Its also a bit more time consuming than a regular dye. Once you mix it you have to let it sit for a while. Applying it is a bit more difficult as its thick so not as easy to spread around as other dyes. Depending on how vibrant or dark you want it means you may be sitting up to 4 hours with the stuff on your head. I left it for 2 and the colour was very strong. My colour is now a rich copper that looks really natural and my hair feels great because of the conditioning properties of the henna. I'm really impressed, the colours great and my hair feels lovely, certainly won't go back to chemical dyes.

My natural hair colour is medium/dark brown, depending on the light. I was going for henna that would tint my hair reddish. This henna was so good that it actually coloured my hair red. I left it on for 2.5 hours. Despite the endless rinsing afterwards, it was quite fun.

This henna is fantastic, the colour is so rich and completely covers all your hair, also it really doesn't dry your hair like other henna's I have used in the past..I would definitely recommend this henna to anyone who wants a beautiful natural chemical free hair colour

I've been using normal henna powder for about a year and decided I wanted to go a little redder. This henna does the job. I mixed the powder an hour before I used it, and followed the suggestion of adding a raw egg and a teaspoon of paprika. The result is lovely soft,and shiny red hair. I will definitely be using this brand again. My hair sits just above the shoulder (although it is quite thick) and the amount in the packet was just enough to cover, so maybe if you have longer hair you would perhaps need more than one packet.
