Imaginative and funny
I really enjoyed reading this novel. The storylines were funny and unpredicatble. The characters had their own personalities. The author has a great imagination and the plots were cleverly written. The book brought for me lots of emotions of love, laughter, happiness as well as sadness and annoyance in other parts. It was a good read and I couldn't put it down. If you like fantasy/romance then I would highly recommend reading this book as well as other titles by the author which are mainly fantasy/romance. I hope you enjoy the read as much as I did!

A Magical Tale!
Makala Thomas has done it again! This time, she takes the reader on a bewitching journey with the adventures of Pandora, a troubled, loner child, whose late mother, Dreamer, was once a witch. Yes, there is much talk about candles, crystals and spells, but Thomas deals with lots of serious things, such as death and loss.Although Dreamer was murdered, mysterious things happen that make Pandora think that perhaps her mother could well return. After all, she was once a witch. This spellbinding tale is fast-moving because Thomas expertly moves the reader along, from one event to another. There are lots of dialogue about magic and soon, readers are quickly introduced to Pandora’s fascinating cast of characters. There’s no room to get bored, and soon, one finds the motive for Dreamer’s murder and what happens to her perpetrator. One soon has to suspend all previous beliefs about magic, since one can easily get involved emotionally in the drama and the action that is in A Witch Like No Other. It’s a long book, but the book is structured in such a way that if you have to stop reading for some reason or another, you can easily pick up where you left off. This is another winner for Makala!

A unique story between mother and daughter
A unique story between mother and daughter. The strong love shown by Pandora for her mother is evident straight from the beginning of 'A Witch Like No Other.' Even as things take a turn for the worst, her love never fails and her desire to become a strong witch like her mom grows more and more. The humor was very unique in this book. I laughed so hard when Marlon accidentally vanished his friend's nose! I could just picture how ridiculous that face must have looked. The growth of Pandora socially is amazing and I think a lot of readers will be able to connect with her awkwardness.
