Great product, a wee bit large
There is a little extra space in the saddle, using regular lumber sizes, that needs to be padded out.Otherwise, top notch quality.

What floor jack to use
Finally found the post to use with saddle plates. Lowes have the orange floor jack post online you can't use the floor jack that's in the store. Good price both items are Akron products.Remember you have to use the orange floor jack that's online only at Lowe's.

Strong and conforms to building codes, but...
I have yet to fin dan AKRON post/column with plates that interface with this bracket. I've had to drill new holes in the saddle plate to mount post plates too....quite inconvenient when they're both from the same manufacturer.
