I held off writing my review until I could install this unit and really stress test it for its full potential. This was purchased to function in a battery backup system for a flood water pump system at our home in Florida. Since this unit has been installed, we have had two major storms that were completely different. One delivered 3" of rain in under an hour. The second delivered 5' inches of rain over twelve hours. In each case this inverter handled the job flawlessly. With it's easy to read input & output voltage meters, it makes it easy to monitor how much power the pumps are drawing on the inverter as well as how much power the inverter is drawing from the battery. On the second storm an alarm sounded from the inverter to let me know that the battery was being depleted. Since this was a test I was able to se that the battery was the weak link in the chain so I aded an additional battery to handle the hurricane season. In summary, this inverter out performed all expectations on every level.

This inverter has worked well for me. I tried a 1k, wasn't enough. Then 2k with the same result. Then I bought this 3k and it is working great. Stays powered in in my truck and doesn't drain the battery, at least after 2 days so far. The only improvement I could see as valuable is if it somehow powered on and off with the ignition of the vehicle. I purchased this specifically to run an 8 gallon compressor on the go.

Easy to hookup to the battery but only disadvantage is the red and black cords are way to short had to buy 8 ft cords for it to work properly in my truck
