Low Heat Output
I realized this was designed for 240 V (the photo of the plugs makes it obvious), but I was still surprised at how low the heat output is at the US standard 120V. I measured the wattage of the 9.8 foot cable I just purchased - 9.4 watts, or less than 1 watt per foot of cable. It feels like it is barely getting warm. I compared that to a previous cable I own, which draws 7 watts per foot of cable, and feels quite warm when plugged in. There's no ice yet in northern Vermont, but I fear this won't put out enough heat to melt ice in our very cold winter weather.
