Solid build, fast and quiet
Great build quality, quiet, fast, light. Bought the core v2 and works well on Win10 and Ubuntu16.04/17.10.The chroma effect is super bright bur can be reduced.

Feels built to last. Performs well. Screen is overkill. Would've preferred more SSD space.
PROS:- Excellent build quality, feels very solid and built to last.- Keyboard and trackpad are nice to use, best touchpad scrolling I've seen on Windows.- Boot up time is almost instant, apps load very quickly thanks to the NVMe SSD.- Can get about 6 hours of battery doing light browser stuff.- On-board GPU can actually handle less demanding / older games pretty well at half resolution (the screen is absurdly high resolution).- CPU seems to be able to provide sustained performance without too much throttling, can handle tons of VST plugins running simultaneously.- When the fan does kick in, it's very soft and quiet, doesn't have a perceptible tone to it. Never gets scary hot.- It has case screws rather than a glued-shut body, so appears to be somewhat serviceable (could probably swap the battery or SSD if you really wanted, but the RAM is soldered on).CONS:- The Fn numbers on the top row of keys light up, but the corresponding media icons on those keys do not (volume, brightness) making it tricky to see which is which in dark situations. The solution is to make your own custom map with the chroma keys, with those keys in a different colour. A recent update to Razer Synapse lets you swap the default behaviour of those keys to be media actions without having to hold 'fn'.- The screen resolution is way overkill for its size, the pixel density is just silly.- I have zero use for the touchscreen since you can't fold the screen 360 degrees to become a tablet, I just don't see the point in leaving fingerprints all over the screen when there's a perfectly nice trackpad right in front of you.- The GPU seems to be able to handle browser scrolling and window dragging at full resolution but does drop a few frames sometimes, I imagine it has to ramp up GPU power from its base clock speed to handle it. I've got mine running at half resolution (1600 x 900) because I'm mostly using it for audio stuff and would rather have more energy diverted to CPU. Unfortunately, the Intel driver does upscale filtering which you can't turn off, meaning everything is a little bit crudely antialiased, but I can live with that. I mostly use it with an external monitor anyway. I put it back to full resolution only if I'm doing design work away from my desk.- Would've preferred a 1TB SSD drive and a non-touch non-high DPI screen.- Knew this going in, but that logo is trash, looks like a psytrance rave flyer or something you might see in a head shop. Thankfully you can turn off the light and cover it up with a sticker :)CONCLUSION:- Have been a ThinkPad user since 2003, and I use a MacBook Air at work, but I need Windows for audio. The ThinkPad brand is going in a bad direction, and Macs are just too expensive. I'm familiar with both 'sides', and this laptop feels like it has good points from both. If you're comfortable with or prefer Windows, this looks as nice as a Mac (sans logo) and performs better than a Mac costing 50% more, and it has PROPER USB PORTS.

Great Notebook - Not for the gamer
So i bought this laptop and it seemed to struggle with any game i played even 2D golf games (was a bit of an oversight on my behalf as i didn't realise it was only on board graphics) - great laptop for surfing, working, emails etc but if you want to do any type of gaming i would suggest going for the 1070 maxQ version, or even the 15.6" blade. One of the best looking and feeling laptops i have used though the size and screen quality is great even though its only 60hz - great if you on the go and just want to stream/work.

the first one delivered had a faulty screen, still usable but it kept flickering intermittently. contacted Razer tech support, they confirmed it was sounding hardware related rather than a driver issue and were very helpful.requested a return- where amazon were dreadful in dealing with that but im not going to let amazons poor customer service impact the review of this item (in short- over a week for it to be sent, then they sent it to the wrong address after correcting them on the live chat numerous times, and being assured it had been updated, yeh they still sent it to the wrong place.)anyway- the laptop is brilliant, great design bright display, its true that it is a fingerprint magnet- some sort of coating to prevent that would make this 5 star instead of 4. performance wise though its faultless - integrated intel 620 graphics are surprisingly good and can run a few games on low settings. the touch screen while rarely used is accurate, battery life unfortunately is around 4 hours with use- not the 8 claimed by razer- but as it charges through the USB-c port, you can get a power bank to give you more use (not all power banks work needs to be a proper use specific one)
