Dominique Rachelle Longline Bra

I ran out of time and didn't have the luxury to shop at brick and mortar stores to try on different low back strapless bras for my girlfriend's wedding. I read the reviews for this particular bra. One specific reviewer suggested that if you wish to have the bra to offer strong support, one is to order a size up and a cup size down. I normally wear a 34D, so I ordered a 36C. The bra fit perfectly. I wore this bra all night in my bridesmaid dress and was very pleased. I would like to thank the specific reviewer who was accurate about sizing in reference to this bra. The price was right too. I found it fitting to write this review to pay it forward to other women shopping for this type of bra, and may find yourself short on brick and mortar shopping time.

Holy cow, I hate bra shopping. The past few days I've tried on at least 10, and comparing to my old bras, this size should have fit me. It was WAY off. The band was incredibly short, couldn't even get it closed at all. The cups were way too big. This is crazy how much the sizing was off!I wish it had fit because it's a really really cute corset-type long style bra. The quality seemed just fine, I didn't notice anything loose or threads coming off or anything. The boning seemed like it would have given good support. I might try another size... if I do, I'll have to go up 2 sizes in the band and I don't know, maybe down a size in the cup?!

I bought this to wear under a bridesmaid dress. It was comfortable throughout the day and offered the support I was looking for. The only downside was that the bottom was not fitted well and couldn't be tightened, so it buckled out and could be seen under the dress. It was too late for me to try to find something better fitted, so I kept the item. If you are wearing this under a loose garment, it will do the trick! If you are wearing something more form-fitting, this may not be what you are looking for.

I’ve looked at several bustier, torsolette, and corsets to find a reasonably priced one that fits me comfortably. I read all the reviews and ordered a couple to try on to see for myself. I know David’s Bridal has this brand but wanted to pay less than $80. I ended up ordering this one as my regular bra size. I know some reviews on many of these either complained too big or too small with regular size or some said came in fine. I took a chance on regular size, 40D. To help others, I’m 5’8” and have some extra in the tummy area...not horrible but I do carry my weight there. Without saying my weight I’ll say I’ve measured my waist and it’s 37”. I gave this 4 stars because out of all the ones I tried on, it fit better than some others but wasn’t the one. The corset overall fit and clasped all the way up and was not too tight. It was snug on the farthest clips, but comfortable. I didn’t go with this one because I liked Dominique’s other one that is a bit longer and goes past my “pooch”. This one sat right around my belly button and although felt fine, I was worried if worn all night it might start to dig into the pooch or sides or create a muffin top but upside down since it’s the corset bottom doing it instead of pants. The other one went to top of my hips and I knew I wouldn’t have that issue. Although my boobs fit in the cups, it was borderline on smaller side creating a 2nd boob when I pushed it closer to me like my dress might possibly do once it is zipped up. Size wise, I would say fit as expected. Just wasn’t the best fit boob wise and length for me.

I gave it 3 stars because the quality seems good, I liked the boning, it seems like it would have been supportive, and the style was really nice. The size, however, was WAY off. I couldn't even get the hooks closed *at all*. I wish it would have fit because it seems like it would have been really supportive and probably fairly comfortable. This is a return for me. :(Word to the wise: Order a size or two UP, and you might want to order a couple of them instead of just one and return the ones that don't fit, because I ordered 2 of these and the sizing was really unpredictable.

Overall, this bustier is cut nicely and looks like the picture shown on model. There are some problems though; a) it is very hard to wear and put the hooks and eyes without someone else's help, b) the material feels hard, despite the posted description, which says it is luxurious satin. The material on the back of the bustier is nice. c) the size is a bit smaller as I always wear 36C bras and I ordered a 38C for this one thinking to have somewhat more room, but it was the right size. So I recommend to size up. Finally, it is better for really skinny girls, as the cut somehow accentuates the fat in one's back, sadly.

I read several comments about getting a size larger because this runs small. I didn't. I have a difficult time finding clothes that fit because my waist is 24", and clothes are almost always too big around my waist. Wear a size 2, and a 32 DD bra. So based on reviews that this product was too tight around the waist sounded great. My strapless bras slide down, and don't have a low enough back for my clothes. This item stayed in place, back was low enough for my dresses, and though the color was a little too "yellow" for my preference, still worth every penny

This bra does the job, but for me, it was a little long waisted. I once had one of these that hooked up the front. I wish this one did. I didn't remember this until I had to hook it up the back. Impossible. You have to hook it up the front and then turn it around unless you have someone else to hook it for you. I will wear this only when absolutely necessary. Maybe not. Maybe I'll just get one that hooks up the front and not have to go through the grief every time. It's well made. It's just difficult.

Color isn't as expected. It was more of a creamy light brown tinge... not what I expected but had to keep it as I had to wear it on the day it arrived.
