Good starting instrument

I read the other reviews & wasn't sure whether to go with this or not, but Scarlatti has a fairly good name, so I bit the bullet & went for it.Firstly considering the price, I was suprised at the quality of the sound, which is important if you're going to be playing it for some hours.The biggest worry was sticking keys. I've only been playing it for a couple of days, but they all work great. If that changes, I'll update this & let you know.All in all, I'm really pleased with it.I tool & carve leather too, so the straps will be getting a folky upgrade!

It's OK for a starter device however don't try to play this on quieter notes as the reeds don't make a sound. So far so good otherwise. Buttons haven't jammed yet and sounds good.

Not really playable by me, beginner. Two notes required massive increase in push and pull to sound, another reed would sound intermittently. I returned the instrument and got my money back.

My wife bought one of these for my birthday. From the start, one of the keys stuck very badly and now the item has deteriorated to such an extent that it is almost unplayable. Moral of this sad story, never buy anything from China. I saved the day by contacting MCNEELA music in Dublin. They produce and sell the Wren2 for 375.00 euros and this comes with a 3-year guarantee and is an ideal box for beginners. In addition to that they have said that if I send the Chinese box to them, they will give me about 100.00 euros or possibly more. Amazon UK should be dealing with this outstanding firm, if it does, its reputation will be greatly enhanced. Moral of the story, never, never buy anything Chinese, especially from a Chinese website. Many of my Romanian friends here have been badly conned and the Romanian authorities have issued a warning not to use Chinese websites

My daughter is very happy with her concertina. Four stars instead of five because one key is a bit sticky (but that may well get better after more playing). Also, it is important to remain aware that this is a relatively cheap instrument for starters. Delivery was prompt.

excellent if you are just starting out with concertina but feel it will not last for more than 5 yrs so then I'll buy a better one. good starter instrument

The air button keeps getting stuck in it,other than that its grand...Its Great,and its a great colour,never gave it to my fellow yet,waiting for his birthday next week,he will love it...
