Brabantia BBEK1001-P Soft Grip Jug Kettle, 1.7 Litre, 3000 W, Platinum/Brushed Stainless Steel

Kettle looks really good in my kitchen.handle is really comfortable to hold ideal as sometimes l have issues gripping things.a little louder than my last one .but as it boils so quickly this certainly isn't a problem.will be buying another one for my caravan.really pleased with this product.

It looks so beautiful I wanted to write a 5-star review the same week as I got it, like people do; however, now 6 months later it's no longer working or is a danger doing so.It no longer stops when the water is boiling.It doesn't even have a security device preventing dry-boiling!If I go out of the room to fetch something and forget to come back right away, I return to find the room thick with steam.The walls & ceiling of the kitchen have already been affected by this repetitive occurrence.I descale it regularly, treat it gently, etc. This problem has been mentioned by others than me.Also, I don't like to ask for many returns from Amazon and affect my buyer records, so I asked the company instead for a replacement - I think I'll turn back to Amazon afterall, as after 3 weeks of wasting my time they still are not doing anything they said they would. Incredibly poor service on top of bad kettle.

Very good. No complaints and very easy to clean

A nice looking kettle which works fine but compared the one which this replaced I would have a few niggles.Although both are 3kW, this one is not as fast to boil. Don't understand that one.It is very noisy when boiling, also worse than the last one.Don't think its double walled as the body of the kettle gets hot - last one didn't.The water level is not illuminated, so hard to read when the light is low - guess what - my last one lit up when in use.So, you may ask, why didn't I just buy one like my last? Couldn't - its discontinued (M&S own brand)However, the colour is good for the kitchen, the handle is very comfortable, and its a make we like.

This kettle looks good on the eye however I am sure there are better kettles on the market. Firstly the spare electric cord is concealed under the base however it keeps jumping out of the clip to keep it in place which means every time I take the kettle off the base becomes uneven on the work surface. Secondly it is the noisiest thing I have ever heard!!! I replaced an old kettle, how I wish I hadn't!!! Finally it isn't that quick either! But as said, it does look good....just needs a little performance work in my opinion!

Delighted with this kettle. It's simple to fill and operate and looks good with our other satin finish products. Handle is firm and comfortable and the flip lid means there is plenty of room to fill the kettle. No problem with the lid popping open when heating, so far. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Stylish.Well made. Easy to clean. Boils full kettle of water in 3mins 20 secs. Doesn't have auto shut off when you lift it off base which is unusual these days but does have boil dry protection which will prevent any overheating problems. Sometimes have to press lid more than once for it to pop open.Would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the couple of issues mentioned.

It's a shame. Brabantia make some excellent refuse and recycling bins, and have developed a great reputation for retractable washing lines and airers, but this kettle is woeful. Not only wouldn't the lid close properly for the initial 50 or so boils, but just yesterday (we bought the kettle on May 11th 2018), the lid sheared off - seemingly of its own volition! I'd steer clear.
