I got this primarily to use as a portable monitor stand as I prefer stacked monitors. It is about as good as I can imagine something being for that purpose except that it's a little heavy (especially when paired with the already heavy 17 in gaming laptop, portable monitor, and 300 watt power brick! That said, it's the best option I've seen for this kind of setup that I can fit in a backpack easily. Mostly for a traveling workstation at air bnb's more than at coffee shops but I'm pretty sure I will cath the eye of a nerdy barista or librarian sometime when I decide to take the whole kit out and about with me.As a standing desk laptop riser, I almost need a counter/pub height table to make it work for me but I'm 6' 6" and it's usable. It does flex a little with my big laptop on it but it's decidedly good enough and for the price I think it's higher quality than I expected.Also comes with a 30 watt power supply that I didn't need since my laptop powers it just fine, but I'm excited to have a super charger for my phone!

This works great to hold my folded laptop at close to eye-level. I use a wireless keyboard and mouse and run the laptops power cord through the laptop stand's leg. It is very sturdy and I have not had to tighten any of the joints but doing so would be easy since they use a 4mm hex (allen) key. This stand also looks nice and I've had people comment on how good it looks. Overall, I am happy with this laptop stand and recommend it.

This little robot-looking desk extender is a true MVP. So sturdy yet light. Very easy to adjust and move from place to place. It can even safely stand on a bed (with supervision). I used to have a huge expensive standing desk, but I love this little thing so much more, and it's 10% of the cost. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

It may be a bit challenging to adjust, but it stays put as it should. good quality over-all.

Impressive stability, works great, easy to set up.

This sucker is one of those items that surprised me upon its arrival! It is surprisingly well made and very sturdy. It is made of metal (not aluminum) so it has some weight to it and is very sturdy when in use with my laptop on it.The joints and hinges are very tight and support even a really heavy laptop (I stacked my laptop, my wife's laptop and my son's laptop on it and it held up just fine!)

Misleading description of the product. It’s very flimsy and impossible to use.
