Better than the pervious
The other reviews on here put me off this dvd so I didn't buy it for a long time.Don't be put off!Geri hardly talks at all, unlike the previous dvd/video where she did chat a lot.The warm-up sequence is almost the same as the previous dvd except they've changed things slightly and now there's a moon salutation as well as the sun one. Also there's a more advance sun salutation.Personally (although everyone is different) the sun salutation is fine but the moon one isn't that easy. I don't have flexible legs/hamstrings so found one pose in the moon salutation difficult.I never really got past the warm-up in the previous video but I enjoyed this one. It's seperated into strength and bliss. Strength has poses that are not too bad but there are headstands in bliss which I'd rather not attempt. That's the only problem with this is the headstands which I don't feel happy doing.Otherwise you get a easy to follow yoga routine which is suitable for beginners- minus the headstands?- and does calm you down and sretch your muscles. I am a very stressful person, also suffer with general anixety and yoga helps immensely. I'd recommend this dvd to add to your collection. The previous one I only used the warm-up and the relaxtion, I'll be using more of this dvd. There is the option to choose what order to do things, so I could skip the ones I can't manage, I havnt tried it yet. I don't regret buying this at all. Katy Appleton is a brilliant guide, encouraging and tells you you don't need perfection but progression. This is suitable for beginners but don't be put off my hard poses stick to the easy ones and work on it.I really enjoyed using this dvd and would recommend it.I'd also recommend Katy Appleton's yoga book, it's not essential with this dvd but it is also a very good yoga guide for beginners.I do yoga when I can at home using books and dvds, I am not flexible and don't relax easy but as long as I can have a quiet house-rare- I can do this dvd quite happily.Don't be put off this is one to add to the collection, or to try yoga out and see if it's for you. Relax.

Balanced and enjoyable
To put this review in context, I'm in my mid-forties and coming back to yoga after a number of years during which, though I did keep reasonably fit, I wandered away from yoga. The yoga shown on this DVD reminds me of the kind that was around when I was starting out in my twenties. A lot of modern DVDs stress flowing yoga and seem to consist of endless sun salutations. Although these are invigorating, I find them a bit repetitive at times. This workout offers a nice variety of poses demonstrated at a moderate pace.Don't get me wrong - Geri Body Yoga has an excellent sun salutation sequence, moving from mild to intermediate level, plus a very interesting moon salutation sequence which I hadn't come across before. But it's also strong on seated, supine and inverted postures, which I really enjoy.I particularly like the initial warm-up - so many DVDs just use a few half sun salutes to warm up. This one is a series of gentle, bendy/ twisty floor postures finishing with a standing forward bend they let you hang in for a bit, so you can go deep. This section makes me feel beautifully stretched out and ready for more. On days when I'm too rushed to do a full session, it actually serves quite well as a mini-practice.Geri's comments are a bit superfluous perhaps, but she does come across as a pleasant and positive person. Her style gives the DVD a warm, matey feel and the setting is beautiful. Katy Appleton's instruction is very skilled; I've just ordered her Yogaworks set and am eagerly awaiting its arrival. Overall, Geri Body Yoga provides a balanced and enjoyable yoga experience.

Excellent Yoga Workout!
This is a great yoga DVD. It is broken down into sections and these are nicely set out and very easy to follow. It doesn't go too fast and is great for beginners. Although this dvd is made under the name of Geri Halliwell, the true instructor is Katy Appleton and she makes everything easy to understand and clear to follow. The postures flow nicely and by using the routines on the dvd, you can construct your very own yoga classGeri doesn't waffle through the instructions and she is rarely distracting. It has a great tranquil setting and helps relaxation! The only down side I feel is that it would have benefitted from the inclusion of at least 1 more routine or section of postures. I felt it was a little short, and that perhaps too much tome is spent directing you towards breathing and relaxation.

,Geri good Workout'
I think this video is brilliant. Geri Body Yoga is much better than the first one Geri Yoga, but that was still very good. This video has a lot more range of yoga, not like the first one which had only had two different yoga in it. It starts off with letting you know about all of the different breathings you can do, then it goes into 'warmup' which you do sun and moon salutation. After the Warm up you feel energized and feel like you want to do a lot more. You go onto Astanga Yoga which is fab. You go onto 'strenth' which gives you a lot of pleasure doing. You do 'bliss' next which is a good part of the video which you can have a go at all different kind of different move, ones whch were not in the first yoga vide, 'Geri Yoga'. The last section 'Relaxation' really does relax you, it is brilliant and makes you feel grounded. Its a cool video for anybody, teens, adults and older people too, 'male or female'!
