Great Product, Just a few hiccups, but worth the money!
Updated!First off, I do plan to revise my review to four or five stars, why? I'll get to that after some things you should know. The first off is the mold issue you'll read about? It's gone. I reached out to the seller the day I bought this and asked them about it. It took them an hour or two to get back to me. They've added silica packets to the boxes and started vacuum sealing the boxes. Mine smelled kinda like a new car's glove box. (I'm actually letting air IN right now)Second, This is what I plan to revise depending on their response. One of the two slats, yes it's so big it's in two parts, came scratched on one side and with strange dimpling on the other. Normally not a big deal...but they're just deep enough to catch marker ink. Thus making it difficult to clean.Third, the actual product review. First. This thing is giant. You can easily have multiple dungeons on it or you can have one mega-dungeon on it.>The material is solid, I tried to fold the thing up once incorrectly? It wouldn't even let me. It stuck at a right angle.>It's hinges? I think they might have some type of tape inside because they had some resistance to them.>As I mentioned earlier it has two "slats." They're each so big you could easily use one or the other as its own board.>Best part of the two slats? They line up. Per-fect-ly. On both sides. Yeah, they went there. BAM.>I tested the erasability in a corner with three different brands. Slides right off clear. I can see it getting stained after a while, maybe a few years of use? But what board doesn't?>For bang for your buck? You're getting four boards in one essentially. Two physical and two too draw on.I'll update my review to five or four stars depending on the outcome of my damage issue.Edit: Updated my review, while they were not able to replace my damaged slat, the vendor was 100% understanding and refunded more than half of the purchase price.

Perfect solution
This was the perfect solution to a rather vexing issue. For some time now I've been using a roll up hex map for my gaming. It's not bad and does the trick but it's a bit small at times and once rolled up for storage you can never get it to lay flat again. The corners have to be weighted down during sessions. This solves all of these annoying issues. Well constructed, easy to clean, easy to store and you never have to worry about it rolling up on you during the game. And being able to modify the size as needed is a tremendous bonus.

Gosh its big...
This thing is massive, I love it! It is so big, I am only ever using half. The reason I got this is for D&D (and other rp games) and my intent is to use half the board for my static board, and cut the other half into quarters, giving me 4 tiles I can have prepped to reveal new rooms to my players. If you are doing anything similar to what I am, one recommendation; seal the edges. I dont care if its tape, spray paint, liquid rubber, what ever you use, just seal the edges. This board works best with wet erase markers, but the edges dont seal, and that can mean water gets in, and puffs up your board, so seal your edges, especially on the 4 tiles side if you cut em.

D&D Night Essential
This game board was extremely useful. I am a DM and I feel responsible for providing my players with the best possible Dungeons and Dragons experience, with this board I was able to take campaigns to a whole new level. I am in college so I don't really have money to spend on a lot of miniatures and maps for campaigns, this board brings all that experience in a neat inexpensive form. Using different colors to signify permanent structures and differentiate them from temporary items like props. If players do have miniatures, placing them on this board with a drawn map is as easy as putting bread in a toaster. However, if players or DMs don't have miniatures, just using a different color dry erase marker from the props and structures on the map and and just erasing them when characters make movements I have found works really well. This specific board labels itself as "XL" which is not to be taken lightly, this board is HUGE. We usually do sessions at my house and we have a fairly large coffee table that we use to set everything up, this board hangs off at the edges slightly. If you don't have that much room, this board does give you the option to only use half as it is a fold out map split in two, and the instruction manual that comes with specifies that you can cut the board in pieces if you need to. Otherwise, I might suggest to purchase the normal sized one, but definitely go with Hexers over other brands.

Perfect d&d board
Didn't expect it to be in two pieces, but thats okay. The first half is as big as I could even fit on my d&d table easily so honestly I'm gifting the other half to my dm in another game. This board is huge. The unfolding ends don't fit together or anything so if it wobbles just use a piece of tape and it works great, plus easy to remove because of the dry erase material.

Being a board instead of a mat is a great idea in theory, but doesn't really work
To start off: I just wanna say I really wanted to love this and I like how it's a sturdy board instead of a flimsy mat because it'll keep flat better and can fold instead of roll which takes up less space.BUT: the folds are very annoying to draw over and so are the edges when putting both sides together or the one cut edge in the middle. But there's not really a way to fix this without either having it one massive board or removing the folds and making it a mat. Also if you like hexes more, this doesn't apply to you, but if you prefer squares then keep reading. Another reason I wanted this was because I could draw my map early, fold it up, and then use it later. A roll seems like it would shift a bit and possibly smear so I thought a board would be better. But the way it folds leaves the square grid on the outside unprotected so it'll smear off. If you like hexes then you can fold it up and keep it safe but I prefer squares and I can't pack it away with a drawn map because two sides (half of the board) will be exposed and wipe off.Great if you're not nit-picky like this, but I am so sadly I'll have to deal with a mat instead.

Good quality & great size for a board (XL)
The media could not be loaded. Perfect for tabletop games. Comes in two halves. You don’t necessarily need to use the whole board, and it folds in half which is very useful. The XL version really helped my friends and I with more freedom of drawing maps without so much concern for running out of space.

Great add on
This product provides two style options - squares or hexagons.
