Great deal for the money
This remote starter seems to be hard to install, but it's very easy to do it if you know what your trying to do. I used to install bulldog remote starters, but they have a very short range compared to this, and ULTRASTART starters are even cheaper. The actual range is about 200-250 yards without interference. I highly recomend this; it's worth the money, plus, the remotes look fancy. Also it comes with manuals that explain clearly how to install it. GOOD DEAL

Great buy!
Installed this in my car, not something someone would want to do if they don't know what they are doing. Installed with no problems, and got it programed. The range on it is really good! a block or more when you are within "line of sight" The remotes are great quality with a metal case to help protect it. Super good buy!

No instructions given. Was able to get the remote ...
No instructions given. Was able to get the remote start working but not the door locks by searching for wiring diagrams from other products to figure this one out. Range is vastly overstated. I was lucky to be able to start the car from the kitchen door 50 feet away.

Excellent kit just make sure you have your own resources
This kit is very straight forward and has quite a few options as far as 2nd and 3rd optional ouptuts go. I was able to wire it so that holding the unlock button 3 sceonds pops the trunk on my wifes 01 ford taurus completely elimininating the need for the factory key fob. I could also use an output to engage rear defroster if I wanted to. Fob feels sturdy and like it should last quite some time. Range is excellent also.Seems it is good for about 250 yards (real world), about 80-100 yards if walls/interference are present.Problem is, Ultrastart does not allow access to wiring resources or much of anything unless you are an authorized reseller with login so you'll need to use something like bulldogsecurity.com for diagrams and colors and adapt them to this kits wiring. "They are close to each other anyways on hookups"

Not for amateur installation, only 200ft range through wall
First about the Starter itself, then about trying to install it if you don't know what you are doing. The starter works as expected other than the following:The remotes don't work nearly as far away as advertised, which I expected, but it's a very drastic difference. With a wall in between its maybe a max of 200 ft, even that is probably a generous estimate. With no obstruction I estimate it maxes out at about 500 ft. That's a little less that the 2800 ft they advertise. On the remote the buttons are raised and the placement of the starter button in the upper right corner makes it easily pressed accidentally by keys in my pocket. This makes the car start I don't want it to and battery on the remote die much faster. I have bought alternative remotes for the starter that are much better. But the ones that come with it aren't very good. Please learn from my mistake. Don't try to install this yourself if you don't have related experience, professionals may have a laugh at my expense:I am a Do-It-Yourself-er who rarely regrets the Do-It-Myself projects I get myself into. I did regret this one. I am far from an auto mechanic but I do have some experience in electrical and car engines. What I do have lots of experience in is researching on the internet and figuring things out.I bought 3 of these. Two for my wife's and my two cars (as a birthday present to her) and one for my brothers car. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I first installed one on my Dodge Neon. That one took me about 40 hours. I thought I knew what I was doing after that and the other two would go pretty quick. That was partly true but each car had some major differences. The second one was my wife's Chevy Cavalier. It only took me about 10 hours. But then my brothers Toyota Camry was the worst. It took me over 100 hours. No, that's not a typo it was really that long. Most of that was because I made a pretty stupid mistake and had to fix it.From starting the first car to ending the 3rd car it took me almost an entire year. Most of that time I had one of the 3 cars torn apart. Some of the time it was able to be driven and other times it wasn't. It really wasn't a good experience for me or my wife or brother. Its nice to have the remote starter now. But it really wasn't worth all the trouble it took. If I weren't a broke college student I would have just paid for a professional to do it.

confusing
I have been trying for a while to get this installed and the biggest compliant I have is the instructions for the install. The instructions is not clear and someone failed miserably in double checking the steps and wording. I have a friend who installed remotes in his last job and although this unit has some great features he too is confused on the instructions. I say it is worth the money but if you can find someone else to deal with the install that would be the way to go.

Works great - installation takes a little time
Installed with all the individual connections. Would recommend using the data connection next time. I wired the horn output to an LED installed in the dash. Gives indication when programming options but you don't annoy the neighborhood with a multitude of horn chirps
