Purchased for my 12 year old granddaughter’s birthday and she was thrilled. She especially liked that she can practice makeup with it too. Her 16 year old sister said she was going to use it too, to practice hair styles.

For $40 you can't expect a superb quality of hair, even if they claim it's 100% human hair. It might be fine for kids to play with but for someone who needs to train and can't afford the $300 version it sort of does the job but it's not great. The hair is very hard to style initially - all bobby pins would bounce back off, it was extremely frustrating. It gets slightly easier to style after a wash, but keep in mind the hair is chemically treated and it's 100% dyed - and the color washes off. The light brown color that I ordered looked more like brown-red and after 1 wash already the color faded to ginger. I tried to do highlights to give the hair more dimension for the updos but there's barely any evidence of highlights. I even kept the highlighter longer than recommended as I wasn't seeing much development after the recommended time. I did the highlights again after about a week and again, no significant lift. This makes me think the hair was originally mostly grey already and the color it was dyed with penetrated the hair permanently. Either that or it was from an older person as after the first wash the hair became dull and the coarse, matte texture was revealed. Another suspicion I had was that the hair is from a cadaver 😐 but I try not to think about this one too much. I wish the hair was smoother - it would make styling much easier, especially braiding.

Great for styles. Ordered for coloring but realized the description was changed after ordering. On the box it claims color safe. It’s not.
