Quality For A Good Price
I have no complaints—sounds great on my board, was fairly easy to put together, and so far good durability. We'll see how long they last, but I have a good feeling about it.Only thing I didn't realize when I bought them (my fault, not GLS's; I didn't read carefully enough), was that they're not solder-less. Wasn't a big deal though because I have a solder kit and the soldering for this isn't particularly complicated. But if you don't have a solder kit, or don't want to solder for whatever reason, this isn't the set for you. I'd recommend looking for another GLS product that is solder less though.

Pretty good for the money.
Good for the price, the ends work good with effects pedals but won't fit in other stuff like a mixer or a keyboard out with other jacks around. But otherwise the cable housing diameter is small so I just wrapped it in insulation where the wire clamps and no problems. Cable quality is ok not the best but usable for short runs like pedals

Excelent value
People keep griping over how thin the wire is.... I don't know what they were expecting for $30, but it obviously wasn't this. That being said, I found the wire to be more than sufficient and the plugs were very easy to solder together. I loved this kit and the patch cables I made with it wonderfully transmit the tone from my guitar. I used this in conjunction with some patch cables I had laying around to link 9 pedals together on a small homemade board and I ended up with at least 6 feet of cable left over. I am very pleased with the result and will definitely order this again in the future for all of my cabling needs. It's far far far cheaper to do this than it is to buy pre-made cables. If you have cable runs that are super long, this probably won't work, but as far as short applications, this cable is more than sufficient for your needs.

Best Pedalboard Connectors for the Price
I purchased 2 of these kits to rewire my pedalboard. After extensive research, these came highly recommended instead of the more expensive George L's, Switchcraft, etc. The low profile of the connectors allows the pedals to be spaced closer together, making for a neater board. The connectors' design is great with the tab for soldering the shield wire to instead of trying to solder the shield to the housing. The included cable is equally great. Very flexible for routing around a board and very quiet. The kits are 1/3 the price of Planet Waves, George L, Bullet, and others. If you are looking for connectors and cables for a pedalboard, look no further then GLS Audio and Orange County Speaker.

Nothing special, nothing terrible.
It's a cable kit. The cables are largely noiseless and easy to cut with even scissors. I prefer the pancake style of connector to the barrel because less soldering is required. My gripes:-Not enough connectors. There are only enough connectors to make 6 patches, or enough to go between seven pedals, or in my case, go to half of my loop switcher. Compare that to the enormous length of cable one gets, and one can see the disparity of connector to cable. Then, of course, if one was also using it for their four-cable setup on their amp/pedalboard, this may not be enough cable.-A bit pricy for cables and connectors. It's just 12 connectors and a length of shielded cable, why so much?Overall, a decent product, but nothing special. I did purchase it twice.

Quit buying crappy cables. Make your own quality cables.
With a little skill you can make your own quality cables. Whether guitar itself. Pedal board patches, etc. I'm specifically using them to make extensions from strap mounted wireless transmitters to guitar output jack.

Serviceable quality, but very strong value.
I worked in the industry wiring guitar rigs for major touring acts and have spent literally thousands of hours behind the iron and have made thousands of cables of all types and varieties including patch cables using pancake plugs like this. I would consider myself an expert in this very niche (and mostly useless outside in the real world) skill set. These GLS pancakes are of decent quality but you will generally run into a few issues: the solder tabs might not be properly plated, so they will not take solder easily; the screw holes will strip out or are not threaded properly; or the solder tab for the hot lead may be very close to the outer housing to to not being kept at a 90 degree angle during the manufacturing process and rotating up towards the top.Besides that, these plugs are of fairly similar quality to the Switchcraft pancake plugs, and even those can be very inconsistent, particularly with the screw holes not being threaded (in bulk bags of 100, there were sometimes as many as 5 with bad screw holes. That’s a high defect rate for such a simple product made by the top American brand). I like these GLS plugs and wouldn’t hesitate to wire a touring rig with them. The cable in this kit is good for this application purely from a manufacturing perspective (I won’t comment on audio quality because everyone’s rigs are different and audio quality is highly subjective). The cable has a very thick but flexible and easily strippable outer jacket. The ground is a twisted strand style, so it makes assembly very quick, and it lets the cable also twist if you need to rotate a plug without putting stress on your solder joints (twisted strand ground cable is much more forgiving than braided ground cable if you need to turn a plug around to face backwards or at an odd angle after soldering). Probably the most important aspect is the hot lead’s insulator is a stiff and very heat resistant coating, which means if you’re a novice or have trouble getting solder to stick to your solder tabs, you won’t melt past the insulator on the hot lead while you’re trying to get your ground soldered properly (lots of novice cable failures happen at the base of where the ground is twisted tightly around the hot lead—it just heats up and melts through the insulator and shorts against the hot lead during assembly if your iron isn’t hot enough or if you’re just holding your iron on the solder tab for way too long).I’d give this kit a solid 4 stars. Nothing here is premium or necessarily high quality, but it’s more than enough for pretty much any application and considering how cheap this kit is, it’s a total no brainer. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to any player needing to build a decent rig.Just don’t blame the kit if you suck at soldering.

Decent materials, works for what it is
Decent materials, works for what it is. Was able to make decent quality patch cords for my guitar pedal effects board at desired length for a good price. The sound quality is fine for my use.
