Cotton and plastic, but beware! Plastic fibers are a water pollutant.
I got the Loft towel set in a pretty shade of ivory. The items are soft and they came through the wash well. Instructions say "Do not bleach" and "Tumble dry low." I imagine high heat might be a problem for the plastic part of the threads. The label also says "Made in China."The items are made from a combination of 100% cotton base and pile that is 80% cotton and 20% recycled fibers made from plastic bottles and bags. While I support recycling and reusing, I question the inclusion of plastic in frequently washed items. Plastic fibers are becoming a serious source of pollution in waterways and oceans. Tiny plastic fibers have been found in seafood and larger animals! Marine scientists have found that beaches all over the world are polluted with these tiny fibers. Sooner or later you are eating them through your food!So even though these items have a luxurious look and feel, I cannot give them 5 stars. The best use for these is in a guest bathroom that only gets used once in a while. That way your guests will be impressed but the items won't get washed often, thus keeping pollution down. By the way, I read that an inventor has developed a filter bag to contain microfiber plastics in the laundry so perhaps there is a solution on the way. I hope so!

Very soft
Plastic used to make towels? Really? Believe me, you will never know. This towel is SO soft, and dries well from the first use. I have washed it several times and it still looks great and is just as soft as when I received it.You should dry on low heat and not use bleach, well, I forgot and threw my towel in with the rest of my laundry when drying, and it came out fine. Although, this may not be the case if you do it over and over, which is a slight downfall when considering the use of recycled plastic.I am giving this 4 stars because of the fact that you need to dry on low heat, it is just not convenient for me to do this as I have to remember which load the towel is in, and then remember to dry on low which I don't normally do for any laundry. Other than that, a fabulous towel

Work just like 100% cotton towels
These towels are made (in part) from recycled plastic. This unusual composition made me wonder how soft and absorbent these towels would be. I needn't worry. If I had not known there was recycled plastic in them, I would have assumed these were normal, lofty, soft cotton towels. They feel great and are very absorbent. The one cautionary note - you are told not to bleach these and to dry them on low heat. I admit, that's not super convenient since you are likely to throw these in with your other whites and towels. But aside from that quirk in care, these are fabulous additions to your bathroom.

Big, Soft, and Absorbent!
I ordered and received a set of these lovely and luxurious towels in Sugar Swizzle. They are the softest towels that I've ever used! The only thing that I can compare them to is a heavy fleece bathrobe as the fabric is supple and generous and so cozy to wrap up in! The towels are absorbent too, and dried quickly after use.I was a bit concerned about the care instructions as high heat can effect the plastic fibers from recycled material, but they came through the washer and dryer without problems. I will continue to watch for any change and update as to their wear and longevity as time passes. I hope that they last with the cost being pretty high comparatively. This noted, I don't think that these towels would disappoint. I love them!edit- Another month, a number of additional uses and washes and my opinion is the same. I love my Loft towel set. One other point I'd like to make is that the washcloths are perfect too. They are a nice weight and thickness while still being thin enough to be usable, and are also a generous size. For those of you on that search, I highly recommend giving these a try.5-18 - - I purchased additional towels and washcloths as I like them so much! The washcloths are a very usable size and thickness and they and the towels are soft and absorbent. I watched for the price to drop and really feel that I got a bargain. Love these!

Excellent Quality...Fresh, Well Made, And Worth The Price...
Well I have learned something from these towels..Up until I got these I was a firm believer in just budget towels wherever I could get them. I could feel the difference in them being thinner and more scratchy of course...But with the amount of time I spend with a towel I figured cheap ones still to be a good choice...The big change comes once you realize that all that thin material and scratching results in a really lousy experience compared to what it could be...And even more, that cheap towels really get to you in not being very absorbent as well as needing cleaning more often for they tend to stink...These babies may be the best towels I have ever used...Both the hand towel and bath are just wonderfully soft, thick, and absorbent...As well as still smelling clean after several uses now.. In addition, These towels are very well made...Not a single loose thread or stray anywhere...Yes they are more expensive for sure, but well worth it for both the quality and experience...These towels will easily last out the investment you make, and I highly recommend them...

Really, really soft!
These are some of the softest towel's I've ever seen and I find it amazing that they use some part of recycled plastics in them. I just bought some towels of another brand on here a few months ago that weren't as soft as these but were more expensive. These also don't have any loose threads hanging on them like those did. I washed these today and they came out just like they went in. I don't use fabric softener, which you aren't supposed to on towels. The other ones I've washed numerous times now but they don't seem as soft as they did when I first got them. I hope these stay like they are now because they feel great. I got the sugar swizzle ones which aren't real white but kind of an off white.
