Did the trick!
I'm building a massive woodworking bench and needed something to secure the 5 1/4" apron to the 5 1/2" top. These self-tapping monsters were perfect. I started them with a little wax and they drove like butter into bench. I added a small washer to ensure everything would pull tight when the screw bottomed out.Excellent product. I would buy again.

Great source for unique fasteners that are not available in the Big Box stores.
