This helps to take the guess work out of watering. I have had houseplants for years and don't have a problem with keeping them alive. But I have a few plants that like to be very dried out before watering. One in particular is a large orchid cactus. I cannot put a finger to the soil without getting poked so this works perfect to check to see if the soil is dry and it is nice for plants that are in larger pots so you can see if it is wet down deeper in the pot.

This soil moisture meter is a plant saver. I couldn't figure out if my plants needed to be watered so I thought I would try this moisture meter and now I can easily see if they need water or if the soil is too wet. I would highly recommend this to anyone who gardens.

I love these!! Very helpful to know when my plans need water. I have a bunch of succulents and it's hard to keep track of which I watered when. I just push this into the soil and voila! Super easy to use and worth the money. I have one for work and one for home.

I've always done pretty well growing indoor plants however that's not to say that I've not had issues along the way with dropping, soggy or brown or yellow leaves. I was tired of trying to figure out whether they were not getting enough water or too much. Also, no matter what I read, the same issue could be due to over or underwatering..... well how in the heck do you know!? Tired of sticking my finger into the soil especially into a small plant pot, wondering if I was at the right depth etc, so I was always guessing. This little gem has afforded me the ease of taking out the guesswork. Once a week I go around to all my plants, stick the meter in about 3/4 of the way down between stem and pot edge and decide if they need to be watered based on the guide on the back. However I was not fluent on the correct names for plants so I did have to Google those, since that is how they are listed on the back. I have not had 1 brown, mushy or yellow leaf since using this brilliant tool. Not sure why I didn't think of getting one before! Shows you still learn even at 64yrs of age....lol
