Goldblatt Tool Company G02374 1/2-Inch Square Notch Carbon Steel Trowel

Worked fine and tile looks great

I opted to purchase Goldblatt Tool Company G02374 1/2-Inch Square Notch Carbon Steel Trowel locally, in order to complete a home renovation tiling project where I needed to get proper coverage on the larger tiles I was using. Even though a lot of similarly-sized trowels now come with comfort-grip handles made of synthetic material, I personally find this trowel's wooden handle to be sufficiently comfortable. The trowel itself is solidly constructed and performs as such. I'm uncertain how its build quality could be improved upon. My only gripe is that I noticed quite a few of them on the store shelf had wooden handle finishing that looked to be done somewhat haphazardly in the way that they were cut and/or sanded. Now, mind you, this is nothing that would actually have any effect on the trowel's use or its feeling of the handle in your hand and this is a rather utilitarian tool that will not necessarily be babied during its use anyhow, but it is somewhat disappointing to see this slight lack of quality control on a trowel priced on a bit of the high side as this one is. Other than that, the trowel performed admirably for my needs and I would not hesitate to purchase it again or recommend it to others.
