Great for an older cat who doesn't always want to eat
My elderly cat with CKD gets her appetite stimulant/antinauseant medicine mixed in with her food, so it's imperative that she eat her food. A few of these sprinkled on top of her food (and a Churu mixed in) will have her running for the dish, and then she eats it all up! That gives her enough of the munchies that she snacks on dry food when the wet food's all eaten up.

My cat can tolerate on certain consumables — sensitive stomach. She loves these! Great value for the money compared to some other brands.

Do not buy
I bought these bonito flakes because my cat, Violet, adores bonito flakes. I normally buy a more expensive brand, but saw these were cheaper. Her normal brand has a lot of crumbs and when I initially receive these in the mail I was happy because they had a LOT less crumbs. But then I noticed my cat wouldnt eat them. I tried for over a week to get her to eat them, but she refused. I bought some of her more expensive regular flakes and she quickly ate them. Upon closer inspection, I noticed these flakes were a gray color unlike the pinky beige of her normal flakes. Additionally, they smell like gasoline. Something is very wrong with these bonito flakes. Do not purchase them. It will not save you money and I suspect they may be dangerous.

My senior cat loves this stuff. Don’t start giving this to your cat because they won’t want to eat anything else.

I have 3 cats. Two of them go crazy for these fish flakes, the third is not interested in them. I will be buying more. It is a nice big bag, and the flakes are nice and big.
