Fun to use, hard to clean
Despite looking amazing, Kupilka bowls and cups really know how to hold on to smells. I ate red sauce pasta in the bowl, and it was awesome. The bowl was easy to grip, and it was so much fun to use and eat out of. Unfortunately, it was hard to clean the bowl. Despite using scalding hot water and using Dawn's best grease-cutting dish soap, after washing, the bowl felt different inside. And it smelled like tomato and garlic. Even after several washes, the smell didn't go away. The only other solution was to put something else in it (fried rice), and the smell of fried rice replaced the tomato and garlic smell.Essentially, you'll always have a smelly Kupilka. It'll always smell like the last meal you ate in it. Best is to just throw it in the dishwasher for maximum cleanliness. Hand-washing will only get you so far.

Classic looking, well functioning
I have used both the Kupilka cup and bowl for around a month now. The price may seem high just for dishes, but are a fine value fro what you get. Look and feel wise they come across as wood, with the same subtle texture and gentle heat transfer. Some other reviews have mentioned the cup getting a bit warm to touch. I've used mine with hot coffee and boiling water, no issues. Utility and handling wise, they have the benefits of plastic for ease of washing, indifference to humidity and resistance to impact.Like many plastics or wood, the material will "pick up" a slight flavor from some foods, but even here, it seems to resist more than most. (The bowl had hot chicken soup sitting in it for a good 45 minutes, and only smells faintly of the bouillon after thorough cleaning.) Dishwasher cleaning might remove it, but I haven't tested this since I do my washing by hand. Coffee, the flavor which has infested every press or travel mug I own, has had NO effect, which I consider a victory for any plastic product!Camping, I can't use these on a heat source for cooking like I could with a Titan Kettle, or other multi function mug esque vessel, but on trips where I am willing or able to bring a separate cup or bowl, these are well worth having along. I would recommend these to anyone who wants a good bowl or cup with a bit of style and resilience

Very nice set!
I'm into primitive camping but not that great at wood carving yet. This set allows you to have that primitive feel. It's better than wood because they have no special requirements to maintain. They seem really strong. I enjoy eating and drinking from these and will be purchasing more products from this company.

Expensive. Good quality. Pleasant to use.
I like it: the set has a pleasant combination of "organic" and "high tech." Although the set is priced on the expensive end of the spectrum, the construction suggests I'll never need to replace either piece due to wear; so the axiom "cry once, buy once" seems to justify the $$$.Buy with confidence.

Not sure why all the excitement
These are cool, but I don't quite get the hype. Maybe I'm missing something. If you are looking for something for camping, there are other things that are lighter. But they look nice and they seem durable. Wish they were a bit larger. Too heavy for backpacking and too small for camping. I do like that they are environmentally friendly

Works great!
Very durable, but the bowl is awkward in my pack, due to the handle.

Very happy. Relatively light
Very happy. Relatively light. Obviously man made, but is nice when held. I truly loathe eating and drinking from metal. It burns your hand and lip with hot food yet acts to pull the heat away from the same food making it cool to fast. The Kupilka is a an excellent solution that avoids problems with moisture you can get with a true Kuksa.
