Attractive and mess free

I wish I could give this incense burner a 4.5, but I can't. It a good design, it just needs some adjustments to be great. First, it could use a base or a mount, at least as an option. Second, it really needs a silicone gasket. The lid just loosely sits on top, which seems potentially troublesome. I fixed mine with a rubber and, but I'd prefer an exact fit, or maybe a lid rework. Third, the holder needs some tweaking. Either grip lines on the inside of the pinchers, similar to the inside of needle nose pliers, or continue the cut further into the holder for a tighter fit. The grip lines would be easier. I'm adding my own with a file.Overall, these are easy changes for the manufacturer to make if they choose so, and they're also easy for the end user if not. In a sea of similar items on Amazon, it would help it stand out and solve some irritations. Still, it's a great purchase for the price but I'd pay more for the fixes and a proper wall mount.

This unique holder is an instant conversation piece! Holding the incense stick vertically, the ash is collected at the bottom of the stand and away from any breeze or potential for mess. I do feel like the vertical orientation causes incense to burn faster, but I’m totally OK with that. This is a great alternative to traditional stands.

These are beautiful. I purchased three; two for home and one for the office. They keep the ash contained and take up much less surface area than the usual burners, BUT because the stick burns completely upside down, it burns super fast. I am burning two sticks simultaneously to compare, and while the one in this vessel has completely burned up, the one burning in the traditional sideways style has 1/3 of the stick left (and the other one burned out several minutes ago). The other issue is that since the sticks burn faster, they burn stronger, filling a smaller, closed room with too much smoke. Of course, depending on the environment - the size of the room, how much scent you want - this could be a plus. Just know your pack of incense will last at least a third less long than when burned in the traditional, slanted position.

Thank you to who ever started this idea. This is perfect-a-mundo (this word felt right). Does not affect the burn rate or diminish the scent at all. Made with glass and it super sturdy. My only concern is it falling and cracking but thats on me to make sure its safe. I am just too clumsy. Functions as it should. I don't have to worry about the ashes falling everywhere else but in the small tray that is provided by most consumers.

PROS:* Form. Two pieces. Lid with grip. Glass base. Simple, but elegant.* Function. The unit works just as advertised. The tapered grips of the lid allow various diameter sticks to be used. Of course, the glass base catches all of the ash. It makes cleanup easy.CONS:* Glass. The glass does feel super thing. On my quartz countertops, I half expect to shatter it every time I set it down. I'm sure it isn't that flimsy, but I still can't help but feel that way.Use:I burn incense whenever I have company or while cooking. It is soothing and relaxing. This unit is my regular operating unit because it is so easy to clean and works for my shorter sticks of incense. This unit makes worrying about knocking over, being blown out by movement, etc, a non-issue.
