Western Digital Blue WD10EZEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5-Inch Internal Hard Drive

Well again another disk has crashed badly. THis time it did not last half a year.I just got plenty of blue screens with error 0x0000007B and system stopped to run.I managed to reinstal system but the diagnostic using Seatool showed clearly that disk is damaged.

Purchased this hard-drive, when my last one decided to take a very long lunch break, but got lost on it's travels back. This is an excellent drive, and was up and running in no time at all. Just be sure, that when you get this, that you format this first before starting to use. After that, it runs very quietly, you do have to really listen hard, to know that it's working. If you need a new drive, i would put this on your wish list.

Hard drive brilliant,works perfectly and is quiet .I would recommend this product,but not the extended warranty.when scrathing the foil covering the activation code(useing ony a finger nail) I found that this also Removed the code underneath and i could not activate the extended warranty

Unfortunately not much use to me. This is supposed to be a 1TB disk, but Acronis (which recognises all my other disk drives in my three PCs) recognises this as a 2TB disk, but cannot write a partition to it. As such it is useless.

Very quiet, excellent drive no issues. If your planning to clone a hard drive western digital's True Image is just a dream to use and sooooooooo fast.

... if you buy the version with "Extended Warranty" just make sure you make a note of the unit's serial number BEFORE installing it. I didn't, because the supplied information booklet for the warranty didn't mention it and when I logged on to the WD site to register I received a message that the supplied Serial Number (as in the activation booklet) had already been used and the activation was invalid!After several emails to customer support I was eventually able to complete registration, but only after scanning and emailing my Amazon receipt and the page from the activation booklet, oh and finding the unit's serial number, which I was able to do via "Hard Disk Sentinel" which I have on my computer (and which saved me having to re-open the case and uninstall the drive in order to find its number!)After all that, the drive itself has performed flawlessly so far and given that it was purchased as an urgent replacement for my main program drive, which Hard Disc Sentinel had flagged as failing, and i am very pleased (except, clearly, for the hassle involved in activating the extended warranty.) And the drive it has replaced actually "died" within 24 hours; Windows can "see" it but nothing can be written to it, nor can it be formatted.
