Brilliant bit of kit. Used to remove snapped screws in my front brake discs with no issues at all

These were terrible! I purchased them a while ago as a good addition to the tool box, but when I actually came to use them they are useless. Attempting to use them on a standard old steel screw the cutting end had no bite and made little or no impact on the screw head. I gave up and used a drill bit instead. Then the grip end of the tools was also unable to have any bite into the screw. Basically they are rubbish.

Whilst they look good quality I had three opportunities to try these out on different size stripped screws. The cutting thread was of a below average quality. I had to drill them out to the right size using an hss bit. On the action of removing, the reverse thread struggled to get a grip. the slightest over torque and they just slipped out. Nice concept but fails on execution.

Watched someone using this on YouTube thought it wouldn't be that easy,it is really good product

I don't like writing totally negative reviews but I can find nothing positive to write about this product. Advertised as HSS steel although I would question that. The drill part made little impression on the screw head (and yes, I did have it going the correct way!) and the other end failed to engage with the screw. I suppose the clue is in the cheap price so more fool me for falling for that. You would be better to pay more for a decent HSS metal drill bit and drill the screw out.
