We rarely go out to eat and so I spend a LOT of time in the kitchen cooking. After 50 years I decided it was time to upgrade my wooden utensils instead of constantly replacing them. I absolutely LOVE this spoon! * It is stunning to look at (even husband agrees) * It is smooth with no rough spots * The handle is the perfect size, not too big to manage and not skinny/flimsy like cheaper wooden utensils * The length is just right for most of my pots and pans I have had no issues with my purchase and can therefore highly recommend it to you.

Almost too beautiful to use!

This spoon is gorgeous. It is made as one solid piece, so there is no concern that it will come apart and the surfaces are so smooth. The handle is a little on the shorter side, but still works well and it can be nice to have spoons of varying lengths at times. I would absolutely order this again.

Large defect in handle 2 inches from spoon bowl. Definitely NOT made for actually stirring thick mixtures. Also, the defect had sharp edges that would cut skin. It looks okay-ish, but not substantial enough for actually cooking with it. Not worth the hassle of returning but I will never buy from this company again. Poor quality control. There's a reason it's not expensive. I needed a new sturdy spoon - this is not one.I would NOT recommend this product to anyone.

Visually a gorgeous utensil. Had to return first order as there was a chip knocked out from the bowl, but not in bag so seemingly a QC issue.Second was solid but not as finely finished as I expected for the price. Is now on my workbench waiting a sanding to touch up bowl lip and handle.

Olive wood spoons are tge best. They are strong, beautiful, non absorbant and with very little care last forever and please the eye. I have 6 myself and buy them as gifts for those who found bamboo splits faithfully and generic wood swells, splinters, frays and splits too. Every couple montgs I rub them down generously with coconut oil and put them in a plastic bag ovetnight, then wipe them dry with a paper towel the next morning...they look brand new and the grain is just lovely. Excellent modest investmen for a great looking, durable kitchen tool. If you're Italian....you can think of other uses for tgese too.

I wasn't sure about spending $12 on a wooden spoon,but so glad I did! It's so beautiful, this is my new favorite wooden spoon. I have 2 other wooden spoons, but they are made of bamboo.. One has split on the ends. I was looking for another wooden spoon that had a dip in it because many times with my old spoons, it was too flat to hold any soups or sauces for me to taste the food. The head on this one is perfectly round and more compact than the cheaper spoons I have and its not as bulky. This spoon feels good in my hand and the color and graining are just too pretty. Olive wood is my new favorite. I wish I had bought this long ago.

Der Kochlöffel unterscheidet sich gewiss nicht in der gewöhnlichen Handhabung zu jedem anderen "normalen" Kochlöffel. Mir war jedoch wichtig, dass ich einen Olivenholz in meinem Repertoire habe, da ich von dem Holz qualitativ überzeugter bin. Die Verarbeitung ist absolut wertig, alles schön glatt geschliffen, so dass ich hier nicht Hand anlegen musste. Die Maserung ist auch nach Gebrauch schön anzusehen. Das Gewicht ist ungefähr gleich zu anderen Holzlöffeln und er liegt sehr gut in der Hand.
