Born in Blood and Fire: Latin American Voices

This used book arrived quickly and was in very good condition. It is easy reading. It is required for a course I am taking on Latin American history.

I bought this book for my Latin American history class and came in great! I was surprised by the size of it because I was expecting a large textbook kind of size but it is more of a novel size. The primary sources are really interesting too and makes it worthwhile! Each source comes with a small intro into the author's (author of the sources, not the book) background in the time period. I usually sell or give away my textbooks but I think this one is worth keeping!

Great book, you will learn facts and history that is hidden from most people. Good game. You will learn a lot about the History of Latin America, Central and South America. I learned of the different ethnic groups, the conflicts and the victories.

The item came as advertised and in adequate condition. I don't mind the notes and highlights and as a college student, it serves its purpose. However, they sent it in a box 5 times the size of the book so I had to pay extra for shipping. Next time, consider sending it in a smaller box, the book isn't big nor heavy.

Excellent companion book to Born in Blood and Fire by John Chasteen (he could have titled them a little better to make it more clear! In class we refer to this one as "Born in Blood and Fire Reader.") Lots of excellent primary sources organized to coincide with the historical themes and periods in the other book. Can stand alone as well, but you get a very thorough picture through the two sources. Highly recommend!

Easy read

Book came in beautiful, new condition. Arrived on time and was a decent price.This book is a great read. If you're interested in Latin American History, but don't want to be bored by a textbook, this is the book for you. Informative, yet, entertaining.
