As a kid growing up reading (almost daily) The Phantom black and white daily strips, I became much aware of the progressively stronger drawing style of Wilson McCoy with the passing of time. When purchasing this Volume 12 of The Phantom Complete Dailies, l knew I had located the period I felt McCoy had hit his Artistic peak, and the era of which I was most fond. Having simply browsed McCoy's work from this volume's opening story to its last, I knew then and there I had no intention of ever parting with this treasure-find despite McCoy's color works from this very same 1950s being my ultimate favorites. Realizing these Wilson McCoy volumes will be winding down by 1961, I want to obtain mainly all of McCoy's works from the late 1940's up to his last...especially the ones in color from the 1950s. Definitely 5 stars plus for this volume.
