I just realized I put my earlier review on the wrong mat! So here it is again on the mat I actually bought! I'll try and delete the other one ;-)***I started back at Asthanga yoga in August 2013. I had my old "sticky" mat I had 7 years ago when I was doing it and decided to buy a new super duper mat that's non-stick and eco friendly.After much research it came to this mat and the Manduka Eko Yoga Mat. As this mat is made in Scotland I wanted to buy closer to home and help home industries plus it being £20 cheaper (and its not cheap to begin with) and backed by my Yoga teacher sealed the deal. Now I wish I'd paid the extra £20 and gone for the Manduka.The mat is 4 months old (bought in September) and it's in a state. I've yoga partners in the classes I go to with the same mat that's two years old and they are in less of a state. I like yoga, I practice daily. They should hold up as they say they are made for Asthanga practitioners. The "weaving" is threadbare (which happens the mat I knew this before hand) but all over - not just the hand/feet spots? It sheds like dandruff (thankfully I got the purple one so it's not like actual dandruff) all over the place and on you. Really annoying! This is a quality of them I only found out after using it. I also find it slippy in "wet" classes. It's meant to be non-stick...maybe I've a dud!I really don't see this mat lasting to August so I'll get less than a year out of it. Expensive for less than a year. If I had a warranty on it I'd send it back in a heartbeat. Alas you have to use it a while to see the qualities. Others that have the mat don't have the issues I do - they seem to accept the threadbare quality and shedding. I'm just writing the review to let people know that it will shed and will go threadbare.I don't like writing negative reviews on anything to do with yoga, but I'm honest and I think others should be aware of these qualities before purchase.NamasteE

I've had several yoga mats in the past that were a lot cheaper however this beats them all. No sliding or slipping and feels really natural under foot and body. Save up if you have to - crime de la crime of yoga mats!

Amazing yoga mat, I love it!

Excellent mat: good grip and makes a huge difference in practice. Could be slightly thicker like most professional mats.
