Economy Black Faux Rock Cover w/3" Vent

VERY THIN! Made to sit outside all day in the sun, but its dark color makes it very prone to absorbing heat and getting very close to melting. The thin material is mostly to blame. At the peak of a normal hot day, the thing gets so soft I could push a permanent impression into it with my finger if I wanted to. Probably worth about 20 bucks or a little less, but definitely NOT worth the 40 that I paid. I should have looked for a beige one. Or I should have opted for the more substantial green ones that are 125 bucks but include 2 pieces: a cover piece and a base piece. The dark color of this one is probably going to lead to early failure of my brand new 170 dollar air pump too. Anyway, the thing has not outright melted/collapsed or anything. It seems to hold its shape despite getting super hot and soft. I did want to save money, but of course, you get what you pay for. Or in this case, you get "half" of what you pay for (since, at best, this thing is worth half what I paid). So now my plan is to wait for some cool day or evening and lightly sand this thing and give it a couple of coats of light-colored spray paint. I wasn't looking for a "project" but I ended up with one because of the inferior quality of this product.

this is the second time I bought these. I use them for my pond air pumps and electrical outlets. These covers have a covered vent that is important for pumps. I have a couple of more things to add to pond that I need covers for. The first set is still like new. They kept everything dry.
