.50 Cal Blowgun Breakdown Coupling

This plastic connector will allow you to join any two standard .50 caliber blowguns such as the Avenger Commando and/or Venom Blowgun together for a longer blowgun and more velocity. However, I recommend going to the trouble of getting a one-piece blowgun in the desired length if possible. Two-piece blowguns have a seam in the barrel and are not perfectly straight. Depending on the individual molding of the black plastic connector (I have tested several), the internal rib in the connector may protrude slightly into the barrel to catch your dart and slow it down. I can visibly see the seam and protrusion in my blowgun. Mine also has a tiny bit of plastic flashing on the rib that also protrudes into the barrel. I can also actually feel the dart rapidly “tick” past the barrel connection when I shoot — clearly not a smooth connection and something that almost certainly reduces velocity and probably also accuracy. However, careful sanding or trimming of the protruding rib and any flashing can help minimize this. The bottom line is that this will work well enough, but a one-piece blowgun is better.
