Parcel Tape Dispenser Gun Large Core

Why do I not ever learn, you get what you pay for? At this price the product looks irresistable, and looks just as how it is described, a heavy duty machine.The reality is that it is no such thing.I spent ages trying how to work out how to get the tape on, because my way of doing it bore no resemblance to the instructions which are effectively gobbledook and I could not get my head round. I have twice cut my hand on the cutter working out the best way to use this.It is not heavy duty at all. You have to hold it to steady it otherwise the lot would would end up on the floor. I did not dare to give this to my wife who wanted it for a parcel. It is far too dangerous to use.By the time you have pulled the tape down and tried to cut if off the whole machine could be on the floor it is so flimsy and who knows if you will cut yourself in the meantime.Leave this machine well alone unless you want an accident. You are better off to cut the tape on its own without any dispenser than use this awful machine. It is chinese and cheap and that says it all. The chinese can do much better than that and they should discontinue this model.On top of that the item arrived without any invoice/receipt or covering letter.Keep well away from cheapness and invest in a more expensive more solid item. Cheap is as cheap does.The Company will doubtless say that this is a best seller and at the price it is hardly surprising and for the price most people cannot be bothered returning it because it would cost much the same to do so. Leave well alone.

Arrived ahead of time, well packaged and exactly as described.Could have done with even brief written instruction as pictures on side of box not all that clear. Had watched the Video however and so quickly worked out how to load and operate it.It works very well indeed - again exactly as portrayed in the adverts.The only other downside is that the sticky side of the tape is left exposed unless turned back on itself. A very small criticism!Highly recommended and the one handed operation works a treat.

Even though this is cheap tape dispenser, you'd expect it to last more than the tapping the bottom of FIVE BOXES!!! Wait, the clue was in the first half of the last sentence - CHEAP. The only word I missed out back there was NASTY, because that is what this item is - Cheap and Nasty. The handle part snapped off from the dispensing part and it snapped off quite easily, even for a heavy handed goon like me. There are only to screw mounts joining the parts together and the plastic collars supporting the screws and mounts are nowhere near robust enough to last long. The plastic is also quite poor quality and has been over-baked at the moulding process and is very brittle. Overall it's a mixture of poor design and bad manufacturing.As it was so cheap (less than 4 squid delivered) it's in the bucket with no thought of sending it back for a refund. The wife is now off to Rymans to buy a (hopefully) better quality one. Don't say you haven't been warned.

The product itself looks to be very sturdy but unfortunately does not look like the picture provided (and on the box!) and did not come with any instructions. The aesthetic part is not a big deal but having never used a tape gun before, I had no idea how to run the tape through. A quick YouTube tutorial later, I figured out how to set it up and use it. It works. It's a tape gun. There really isn't much more to be said.

I was sent a red tape gun not at all like the one in the picture, it looked a cheaper model. Also the one I was sent did not grip the tape that securely and it kept moving to one side of the roller. In the post one of the plastic panels had come off and was rattling round the box. I've tried it on a couple of boxes and it does work. But it still feels/looks an inferior model and feels as though it could bend easy under use/load. Its handle was not a comfort grip as shown in the listing but was a cheap nasty one, which was not that comfortableAlso I've seen the one I was sent cheaper on Amazon so I feel slightly ripped off..

wasn't expecting too much but quite pleased with it. Seems a lot tougher than I'd expected. Used to use one at work many years ago and don't remember the free end of the tape hanging loose, which it does, but the gun dispenses the tape and cuts it exactly as expected. Good value

not sure what the negative reviewers are on about - this is a fantastic product. sturdy - its made of metal and hard plastic-and makes a boring job of removals almost - almost - a joy!its not particularly difficult to work out how to load it once you understand the sticky side has to face down when you are holding the handle and it is simplicity itself in dispensing the tape. no need to press down on anything and can all be done one handed.I am amazed at how it can be sold at such a price including P&P.
