Great Camera for Business & Adventure!
I use the AKASO Brave 7 to capture street food events and behind-the-scenes footage for my business, and it’s been awesome. The video quality is sharp, colors pop, and the dual screens make it easy to frame shots. It’s tough, handles the weather, and the extra battery is a nice bonus. The app can be a little touchy sometimes, but overall it’s a great action cam for the price — perfect for creators and small business owners on the go!

Awesome quality!
I've used the other brand G.P. and I've used the Akaso and I'll I'm going to say is I'm not going back to G.P. Price is affordable quality is great. Looking forward to recording more content with the Akaso company, we'll worth the price! Easy touch screen simple, nice and compact, and the battery has a decent life span.

A Robust Action Camera With Unmatched Value
I've been looking for a camera that can survive a bit more cold than the GoPro 12 Black, and much hasn't changed with the 13. I loved the Gopro app, but the camera would always shut down when skiing. I tried the DJI Osmo action 4 but didn't care much for the app. Insta-360... not so much. And the value, again it just isn't there. I never gave much attention to these "budget" cameras like the Akaso, but when I saw this Brave 7 being compared to the Gopro And DJI on Youtube at nearly half the cost on sale, I thought I may as well give it a try. And mind you, I was extremely skeptical. I have always thought you get what you pay for in electronics but guess what, I was wrong. This little piece of equipment is not only robust, but it actually stays on while skiing. Didn't turn off once unless I turned it on and off myself. I didn't try and tuck it away like with the Gopro, worrying that it would get frostbite, lol. This little gem stayed lit the whole day. All I did was change batteries and gave it voice commands, which by the way never failed. And the app??? I'm no tech genius but it's very intuitive and I have had no problems navigating it. Picture quality is right on par with the other 2 as well. This thing is solid, with a hefty, robust build quality that really made me think I had made the right choice. And so far, so good. My only concern is this. What was I thinking by limiting myself to two of the top brands when this little guy is right on par with them and costs $250 less. Out the door cost = $179.99, and that included two batteries and many accessories you don't get with the other two. I feel strongly that this camera is going to fit my needs nicely at a price that's well, quite astonishing if you ask me. It's a real value and given a chance, I think you will come to that conclusion as well. Thank you for taking the time to read my review.

Decent, affordable, functional for amateurs
Purchased for a Florida Nature Coast vacation and regular use while kayaking in Virginia. Audio quality and image stabilization have clearly been improved since earlier reviews. Camera and accessories are easy to use. Battery life was sufficient for short paddles and floats. I only used one with a back up fully charged in case needed. For a little over $100, I'm satisfied with the value based on the good results I got. I accidentally tested the water resistance by knocking it into the channel where I was fishing. Oops. No issues with functionality afterward, and a fun video resulted. Buy the extra accessory packs and waterproof case. All very useful and versatile. I would definitely recommend for an amateur looking for an inexpensive, decent quality action cam.

Affordable Waterproof Action Cam
I debated between the GoPro Hero and various Akaso models and ended up on realizing I simply needed an affordable action cam that was waterproof, so I went with the Brave 7. I was going on a trip to FL so water was in its future. I ordered a couple 128GB highspeed micrsoSD cards for it as well. It came well packaged and with a ton of accessories. The documentation, which you get online, is precise and well written. Tip: don’t throw away the foam cover that it comes with, it can be used for wind noise reduction. The model is well reviewed on other platforms so I was able to get enough information on how to set it up and the best settings for it. The touch screen is easy to use and is responsive. I turned off the wind noise reduction feature, with it on, audio just cut in and out and it did not seem to work. The image stabilization worked great, I really liked how I didn’t need a gimble for it at all. On the FL trip I used it to film walking on the beach, in the city, playing in the ocean, ( and yes its waterproof, at least down a couple feet), driving in a car mounted on the windshield, and to take a couple pictures. I ended up on 2.7k/30fps as a good resolution for shooting most video. The best video you are going to get out of it will be in good sunlight, outdoors. It is after all, an action camera meant to be used outdoors 😊 The batteries seemed to last a decent while, we’ll see how the longevity of them will be over time. The only small gripe I have is the SD/USB slot door, it’s a bit tricky to get shut, you have to do this push in and slide up maneuver to get it to click back in place. I can only assume its due to the waterproofing material. Its not a huge deal as I don’t take the SD card out super often, its just something you have plan for if you are in a hurry to swap SD cards. I did download the AKASO GO app on my iPhone and it seems to work OK, but I haven’t yet used it extensively yet. The accessories seem to be good, if you need them. The remote control is useful if you have it mounted to like a helmet or somewhere you don’t want to have to constant be hit the record button. It survived the trip and being used in a saltwater ocean without a case, I just made sure to wash it off with cold tap water after each ocean use. It also performed well in 110 degree heat, I just made sure I didn’t use it for hours at a time in that heat, so it didn’t get too hot. The pictures it took, with using the widest angle, were crisp and it was nice to get a wider field of vision than you’d get from a phone. Overall I’d recommend this camera to someone who is looking for a affordable action cam to use for travel in damp and wet environments. I’m happy with it and will continue to use it for my adventures.

Rocky start, but outstanding customer support saved the day
I had earlier left a scathing review (one star), but (and I do have to give a lot of credit here), they contacted me, and over the course of about a month (sometimes things to try, sometimes replacing items, sometimes just passing knowledge), all things were resolved. Cliff notes of issues: 1. batteries; neither would hold a charge, and the external charger was also DOA. Replacement batteries and a charger were sent and that resolved that issue (I also learned that the camera will also charge batteries). 2. getting wifi connected; If I tried to set things up i my apartment, my phone kept grabbing my wifi and not the camera's. That was resolved by waiting until I was away from my own wifi to connect. For some reason, my phone (Motorola Android) will remember the camera's IP address, but will not automatically reconnect. I have learned the dance is a) get away from my "home" wifi router so it does not automatically connect, b) power up the camera, c) press the "up" control on the camera (both are hard on a pretty set of nails), d) wait for the camera to search for a wifi connection, e) on the phone, using saved favorites, connect to the camera, f) once connected (camera will show a notification), launch the camera app, and select your device. Another issue I had was protecting the camera lens. I accidently discovered that the clear, hard plastic "cover" twists off, allowing one to clear dust/condensation off the lens, and if it gets too scratched, I assume a replacement can be ordered. My last issue was losing the usb-c power connection while riding my trike (it is in a mount) due to vibration. I had not noticed it until the internal battery goes dead (or the automatic off triggers) and the camera stops. Easy fix is to attach the usb wire to the monopole with velcro, and look/listen for the notification that I am on battery power. And I always like to give room for improvement: To replace the internal battery, one has to disassemble the mount, as the the plastic that surrounds the camera (to provide a screw attachment) covers the battery door. So what should be a 1 minute task can take quite a while. And closing on a positive light, the 4k videos are stunning and crisp. Way more than I expected from a camera in this price range.

It's not cheap. It's reasonably priced
You know for being reasonably priced because I am not going to say cheap. Because this thing is not cheap. It doesn't feel cheap. Everything feels quality. If you're just looking to vlog, motorcycle rides or hit the Alps and snowboard and stuff here, this is perfect. I am not a content creator by any means but I do love recording my rides and this also protects me in case something happens. All in all, everything that you get is fantastic. The camera it functions as supposed to and it's good quality. So you cannot go wrong with this camera at all whatsoever, if you're on the fence about it, just go ahead and do it just like I did and you won't regret it
