Worth the price!
I bought the SEALSKINZ Beetley head gaiter hat for hiking and cycling in unpredictable weather and it has quickly become one of my go to pieces of kit. It is lightweight, breathable and surprisingly comfortable even when worn for hours at a time. The material feels high quality and the fit is secure without being too tight. The waterproofing really works. I wore it in heavy rain on a long walk and it kept my head and neck dry while still allowing heat to escape. It also does a great job of blocking wind, which makes a big difference on colder days. What I like most is the versatility. It works as a hat, a gaiter, or tucked under a helmet for extra protection. It packs down small so it is easy to keep in a pocket or rucksack. It is not the cheapest option, but the build quality and performance make it worth the investment. If you spend time outdoors in all conditions this is a reliable piece of headwear that will keep you comfortable and protected.

Really good fit, well made
I was quite worried about it being too tight round the back of the neck, but decided to risk trying it, and it's actually really good, didn't bother me at all. There's a lot of similar cheap competitors, but all the other ones i've tried have loads of flaws in their design, if you want something that does all it's designed to do really well, this is the one to go for. It's really comfy, keeps you really warm, is pretty thin (even works well under a bike helmet), and the elastic toggles on the front means you can strap the front part tight in a headwind. And thankfully they do it in multiple sizes, none of that "one size fits all" nonsense.

Not as warm as I expected.
A nice gaitor that does the job of keeping the wind out. It's good to 50 degree F. I then need to use a buff to cover half of my head and a hoodie over the top when it get below this.I have not used this is rain, but water runs off well when I briefly tested it under a tap.

Tried and trusted piece of kit
Sealskins is a brand which I have used before and always found trustworthy. This is a great item made from comfortable materials and a good design I use it all of the time during winter on very cold days it protects the face particularly the cheekbones on cold days when I am working as a gardener or during my days fishing

Great gear to have
I bought the Sealskinz head gaiter hat for a winter sailing delivery trip from Lorient in France to Gosport in the UK. It's typical winter weather in the Channel, and I am happy I bought this hat. It kept me warm and dry, and it was easy to wash out the salt afterwards. I purchased the large size, which was slightly too big, but the drawstring adjusters made a cosey seal around my face. It is a good quality product, and I recommend it to anybody doing outside activities.

Great fit & quality. Wore it up on peak with gales blowing & thought this is the best bit of kit I’ve bought in ages!

Keeps me warm, cycling in Winter
I've tried a few products to keep my head warm while mountain biking over the last few years and they all help somewhat, but some are better than others. Neck Gaiters are useful to take a slight chill off and can cover the head, nose and mouth, but for really cold days I haven't found one just right, until now. This feels just about right with good enough thermal properties, wind resistance and good enough wicking to keep the sweat away. It's easy to move the mouthpiece away when it isn't needed too, which is handy when I need to cool down and take in big gasps of breath. Most importantly, it's also really easy to wear with a helmet. So, it's wouldn't be suitable for all conditions for me, but it does make the difference between me wanting to ride when it's freezing and me not wanting to ride.
