Interesting & informative
I began thinking I was reading a novel, then realised as I went on that it was based in truth. It opened my eyes to the very different ways of life in Pakistan and the difficulties encountered by British born children of Pakistani parents in trying to bridge a wide divide.

I am so glad I found it
Thank you Martin, I love your work. This novel gives so much new information not only about very different culture of Pakistan, but also about life of emigrants. How difficult it is to build a new life in a different country! How intolerant we are to all hard working foreigners! It definitively is thoughts provoking book.

Addictive read
I couldn't put the book down. Had to know what happens next. Very interesting story. Found the corruption in Pakistan described here deeply disturbing, I had no idea.

Questions of culture
Well written tale. An interesting insight into different cultures and some of the problems experienced by young people assimilating into a different culture whilst being aware of their own heritage.
