We attached them to the top of our fence to try to stop animals from triggering our motion sensors/outdoor cameras... Works decently well for birds- didn't phase the raccoons, opposoms, or the squirrels; they just kept climbing there anyway... one brazen raccoon used the spikes for a grip to get over the fence! Bold move, trash panda... you win this round.That said, haven't seen any birds there anymore! We'll leave them up for now and see what else happens.

Depending where you need to put these, the hardest part might be getting them to stay--but I have a few zip-ties to piping in the garage above my car, and the rest literally just sitting on the ground in the corner where pigeons were hoarding and being gross. My parking spot has been pigeon-free ever since!

I have a terrible squirrel problem in my yard. They pick my tomatoes, dig up my flowers and are just all around pests. I purchased these to try and protect my produce when I plant my spring garden.

I put this at the top of my banister to keep the cats from walking on it and almost falling a story to their deaths. Works like a charm and an excellent price for piece of mind. Thanks!

Before I begin my review, I need to point out that the spikes DO NOT COME WITH NAILS. THIS IS A VERY NECESSARY PART OF THESE SPIKES, as having small holes they are hard to attach without custom-size nails. WAS having trouble with feral cats in my attic and hanging out on my patio ledge. They are loud, destructive, and annoying. They play on my tile roof at night and keep myself and my 21 year old parrot up at night. So, I said, I need some kind of help. With the help I received from my Property Manager of my HOA, combined with friends, the problem is now OVER. I knew I would get flack from some neighbors who reported me to Animal Control. Well, I was accused (not face-to-face, however,) of being a horrible person as the person who reported me thot I was trying to harm animals. SO NOT TRUE. I didn't purchase these spikes to cause harm to animals, only to deter!! Animal Control came and investigated and said everything I was doing was within the laws of my city (possibly should check re: your city). I am an animal lover to a fault. Nowadays, prefer animals over people!! These spikes DETER, DO NOT HARM. They have given a 70 year old woman her sanity back. They do the trick. However, when I asked a question of the community about this product, the only response I got was from the seller. I made a suggestion to them. Because you have to use a certain size nail, I suggested that they start including the correct size nail with the purchase. They said, wow, great idea. Very helpful and will definitely give it some consideration.

So far so good. Screws would be a nice addition

The birds managed to build a nest in the middle of this one. I do have these placed in 3 other spots and it has worked to deter the birds. 1 out of 4 isn't too bad!

Used in flower beds to detour feral cats.
